He was born in 1917.
He died in 1963, It was a Friday afternoon on the East Coast.
And the World Stood Still...also
Just want to mention that JFK is the only President I have ever seen in person.
He was not actually the President at the time. He was a candidate in a motorcade on
Roosevelt Blvd...
Has anyone ever been in the presence of a US President?

I will speculate this. The death of JFK was the beginning of the USA and thus the World going wacko.
Pea..I too, was standing on the median strip, when the tanned, handsome Congressman, drove by, In that convertible..I also was in his presence at Municipal Stadium for the Army/Navy game the following year...you may have been there too...selling programs..do you remember that? As for the "beinning of the world going wacko.." Other than the game in Aug.'64, when Chico Ruiz stole home..I think I might agree with you.
Michael Pea I was standing beside you, had to hold you back. Mother said they will never elect a Catholic!
So, Michael, were we Activists for Catholics? and those damed Dodgers!
Left Schwabb Hall @ SFU after American History class, irony, and outside hundreds of people were still & crying! "The President was just shot!!!!!!" Just incomprehensible.. Yes Pea, I agree it was the start of a Wacko World.....I was a baby when hydrogen bombs were dropped on Nagasacki but no memory...besides, the news was much slower then. JFK's death is still fresh in my mind and it was a genuine shock to everyone..........things have been sick ever since.....Does anything ever actually shock you anymore?
You should live with Pea, John. He's shocking every day.
