Gee, musta been a memorable trip. Guess I was on a mission trip. Out of the country. Helping orphans. I guess. Musta been. Had to be. I'm SURE I woulda been invited if I was home. Have to check my diary. Sure I was unavailable. I mean I'm a brother. I WAS the batboy. Yeah, musta been out of town.....that's it.
I just replayed this wonderful video..man, 12yrs have gone by like the wink of an eye! Great background music, too...Glory Days, for sure! Thankyou Edward..man we were young back then..great stuff!
And now, FOR THE REST OF THE STORY, the next time Michael came up, neighborhood kids were standing around watching. They wrre telling their buddies about the last shot. He batted right handed and blasted one to deeeeep left, where it rolled to the blacktop and hit the building wall. Afterwards Cooker told the kids he was Mickey Mantle's nephew. TRUE STORY. I was the official batboy.
