I was staying in B&B in Galway Bay....Mary McBride gave me plenty of breakfast to take with. Directions to Cliffs of Moore and a bright windy day on my Triumph 500cc and a song in my mind. Drove at speeds higher than ever before be/ the road along the coast was paved/straight and no one on the road. I yelled, screamed and sang MacNamarra's Band..... I stopped to walk out on those black flat rocks to look down (about 15/20 flights)...the wind is blowing stronger as I go further & finally I crawl the last the last 30 yds. on my chest. I get close to the edge & the wind blowing harder & raining like buckets.....I froze with fear of being blown into the Irish Sea... I laid there for about 20 mins. (seemed like hours) just hugging the rocks be/ I feared if I moved on wet flat rocks I'd be launched.....
finally, crawled to safe distance & continued on to the Cliffs.....a wonderful memorable day....if you don't love Ireland ........
