so, Here are some excuses Verlander can give to Houston fans for missing the Parade:

1. I was playing for the Detroit Tigers until they traded me on July 31st!
2. At the time the Tigers were suckin wind
3. The wedding plans had already been set in concrete (other than the table seating)
4. By August 1st people had already made Reservations to be in Italy!
5. Have any of you A..holes ever had a wedding in a foreign country?
