Report from The Pea's weather station...

Don't travel to Florida this weekend!

There is a very nasty hurricane headed there.

Last time they had one this potentially bad was 
hurricane Andrew in 1992 & winds maxed out
at 175mph!


1935 was Floridas' most powerful storm
A guy in a distant light tower reported high winds...
the next day they were hit with a Cat5!


That was before they started naming hurricanes.
It was also pretty lightly populated
compared to today.
In those days they had very little warning.

Today, they can follow a storm when it leaves Africa.
They have been watching Dorian for a week.
Here is a photo from the space station taken yesterday.
The weather people are calling this a rather small but powerful storm.
