In this day & age it's not a bad plan...

Yep, Spec 5 Mckendry, I too remember hiking in the soft sands of Augusta GA with the pack on and having the damn training Sgts. constantly yappin' yappin'....in a way, I thought the whole training was kinda funny because of the routine of yelling everywhere we went. Seemed the smaller guys yelled the most & loudest. Fortunately, I went on to Advanced Training for Radio Maintenance & Repair, since I have that gifted technical gene. Six grueling months, 10pm to 8 am five days a week. Ever since I've doodled with radios and a variety of technical stuff just for laughs. Of course, radios don't need tubes so I only doodle when a very old radio comes my way. I do get itchy for a tubular challenge here & there. Yep, the good old days in fatigues....kinda takes me back....'10-4 & Out'

They sent me to a school that taught Logistics. I learned later that that means how to get things from here to there.
If I had paid attention in class I may have beaten Bezos to the Golden Amazon!
