Venus

I know nothing about the stars & planets. But, in the ten years I have lived in Lancaster I have always wondered what that star was that showed up early in the southeast. (I have a patio and sit outside a lot). So I finally looked it up & found out it's actually the planet Venus!

It's the second brightest source of light in our night sky!
The moon is # one.

Why did I wait so long to learn that?

btw...Jupiter is the 3rd brightest object in our night sky.

Thank you for the Astronomy lesson, Pea! I enjoy learning these things. (St. Ambrose didn't teach that when I was there... :(

They hadn't discovered all the planets yet, when you were in St. Ambrose!
