Mary & Karen in memory of Michael...

Dear Ms. Kane and Ms. Kane,
Thank you so much for this wonderful, heartfelt gift. This is such a lovely tradition, and we're honored that you wanted to include us in your memories of your husband and father.

Becky, thanks so much for sharing the pictures--those smiling faces have brightened my day!

Warmly,
Bridget

Dr. Takacs and Jenkintown School Board Members,
It is my great pleasure to share with you a donation that has been made to the K-3 music classroom.
Karen Kane, first grade teacher, and her mother, Mary Kane, weekly JES volunteer, have made a generous donation of a
Yamaha 88-key portable electric piano and piano stand.

Each year, Mary Kane, wife to Michael McKendry, makes a donation to an organization that exhibits some of the characteristics of her late husband's life.  His obituary from 2018 states that "Michael's greatest passion was playing music with his brother Eddie and sharing it with their vast community of family, friends and fans."
The plaque on the piano reads,
To JES,
In loving memory of our Pop, Michael P. McKendry, 1947-2018.
"What a Wonderful World"
From Karen Kane and Family

The gift of such a beautiful instrument will continue his legacy of sharing beautiful music with the JES K-3 music classes for years to come.
We are honored to be the recipients of such a thoughtful gift.
Attached photos below.
Sincerely,
Becky Holcomb and the Jenkintown Music Department
