An Eagle & a Goose...info provided by Shenu Dissanayake...

For years, a livestream of an eagle’s nest has given thousands of viewers quiet joy—eggs, chicks, and the circle of life. But this spring, the feed returned with something no one expected. There, in the massive nest, sat not just an eagle—but a goose. And beside her, two clutches of eggs, side by side. Biologists say deforestation left the goose with nowhere safe to nest. She chose the eagle’s fortress in the sky. And when the eagle returned, instead of driving her out, she laid her own eggs beside her unlikely roommate. Now, the world is watching two species—predator and prey—coexist in a way no one thought possible. One researcher put it simply: “It’s amazing how different species can get along when it comes to life, but humans can’t.” What will happen when the chicks hatch? No one knows. But for now, high above the trees, an eagle and a goose are offering the world something rare: a vision of peace.
