I am trying to teach myself how to Post on an Apple like I used to be able to Post on a Dell!
Don't believe those people that will tell you that an Apple is sooo Easy. If you first started with an Apple that may be true. But, if you stared on a Microsoft Computer, the Apple is not E.Z. to adapt to. This photo of Amanda & Justin is one that I was lucky enough to Post. It was not my intent to post this, it just showed up when I hit the Post Photo key...I was really trying to Post a photo from my Picassa File, but I can't find it...I miss My Dell....
PS...aren't they adorable?
PPS...and Justin doesn't know it today but, he is going to inherit my 1999 Jeep Wrangler if I can just keep it alive for another TEN years!

DING DONG! FOOTBALL IS BACK!!!
Ladies and Gentlemen, tonight is the start of the 2010 NFL Season. I’m sure the “Older” readers of this blog are confused and think the season starts on Sunday. Well, it’s Thursday, otherwise known as GAMEDAY! Tonight we have the “Gun Slinger” Brett Favre and his Vikings vs. the defending Super Bowl Champions, the New Orleans Saints. It’s a re-match of last years NFC Championship game. This was a game in which the Vikings should have won. The Saints won 31-28 in overtime and went on to win the Super Bowl. The Vikings had 5 turnovers in that NFC Championship game. It was the best and worst of Brett Favre. I’m picking the Saints for tonight’s game. Book it.
I have to say, I really do enjoy watching the Phillies but nothing beats the NFL. It is the greatest game on earth. From now until February 6, 2011, there will be a football game to watch every Sunday. If you don’t want to wait until then to learn the Super Bowl Champion, just read my picks.
NFC EAST: Eagles
NFC NORTH: Packers
NFC SOUTH: Saints
NFC WEST: 49ers
NFC WILDCARD: Cowboys
NFC WILDCARD: Vikings
AFC EAST: Patriots
AFC: NORTH: Ravens
AFC SOUTH: Colts
AFC WEST: Chargers
AFC WILDCARD: Steelers
AFC WILDCARD: Titans

Are You Watching in HD?

Gerald Pea recently purchased a “High Definition” TV. For all of the older folks who read this blog, High-definition television (or HDTV, or just HD) refers to video having resolution substantially higher than traditional television systems (standard-definition TV, or SDTV, or SD). HD has one or two million pixels per frame, roughly five times that of SD. In other words, it means the picture is much better!
I recently visited the Pea and discovered the HDTV he purchased was incorrectly hooked up and was not broadcasting the HD signal. Basically, he was watching a regular signal on a HDTV and this defeated the purpose of owning a HDTV. Not only was it hooked up incorrectly but he was also watching the non-HD channel. HD Channels are broadcasted on Comcast in the 200 + range. Foe example, Channel 3 (CBS) is now broadcasted as HD Channel (233). Channel 29 (FOX) is now HD Channel (234).
I have heard about “Older” people purchasing HDTV’s and not watching the HD Channels. It’s a common mistake. It’s not just the Pea. I know for a fact that other family members have done the same thing. I believe it was the Glenside Pub who set all of their TV’s to the non-HD channels. Hey, it happens.
Anyway, here is a printable PDF of all the Comcast HD Channels in the Philadelphia area. You can print this out and keep by your HDTV as a reference.
I’m just trying to help. Would you buy a Mustang and not drive it on a freeway? Would you buy an electric guitar and not plug it into an Amp?

Old Oven/Old Broiler issue...
If i can find a photo of an old oven/broiler I will Post it here for the People that like "picture books"
- Meanwhile, I have Oven problems & cooking questions
- I gave T.J. a B++ for his evaluation, holding back the A+ because he did not know where to buy the replacement part. Is that being too harsh?
- What in the Shrimp Scampi provides the "juice" like spaghetti sauce does in spaghetti? I am really Jones-ing for Shrimp Scampi...........

Another September...
- September's birthstone is the sapphire. The meaning is clear thinking.
- The Birth flowers for September are the forget-me-not, morning glory and aster.
- What else is significant about September?

In Phila we have Blue recycle Bins & the Recycle Rules are as confusing as this Dylan song...
You can get fined $50.00 for not following the proper rules! Go to the Phila Streets Dept re-cycling Web site and they are as confused as most people are as to what is proper recycled material & what is not!
- To make matters worse, they now have "TRASH POLICE" patrolling your street on trash day!
- And they carry video cameras to film your violation!

My shot at being under the Spot-Light...
- TheMcKendry Bros are to perform this Saturday @ Shanachie, Edward can't make it and the Cooker says he's going Solo! He has not told Management that Blaze will not be there, he intends to tell them that Blaze had a last minute Emergency...I am thinking I should show up with the Cooker pretending to be Blaze , act like I am aggravated while I am making believe I am hooking up the Sound System. Who would know that a Switch took place? Other than I cannot play a guitar. No problem...once under The Spot-Light I can fake a finger cramp and defer to The Cooker! Do you think it will work? I can also act aloof like the real Eddie does and snicker and sneer too...and also refuse a Beer when a Fan wants to buy me one...well, maybe not that one. Do you think it will work?
Regarding High Def TV & some Tips from Jason...
He tutored me that if I hit channel 3, 6, or 10 the screen asks "watch in HD?" and if you click the OK button it takes you to the HD version of the Channel. You need to be quick with the Clicker to do this. Also, if you watch "On Demand" Movies you need to go to the On Demand HD channel to request them to get HD Movies. Scroll thru the 200 HD Channels and you will see it.
PS...another No Photo Post...
PPS...Jason yelled at me "if you don't watch the HD channels when you are paying for them then you should just flush about $20 to 40 dollars a month down your toilet"!
