I am of Irish descent...of what descent are you?

Just finished reading this book. Never heard of the Author before Judith Ann put the book on the kitchen table. Loved the book! Made me Happy, made me like the Irish people more. Did not make me want to travel to Ireland, however. But, I Really enjoyed the Visit the book provided! Has anyone else read this Mauve person? (and who is that young Lass pictured above?)

I've read all of her books, and am in the middle of her newest. She is my favorite author! Also where I first heard name "Declan", speaking of which is that a pic of his mother??

I thank the good lord every day that I am only 50% Irish. Ukrainian Blood 4 LIFE!

An Irish girl I know, whose Dad was from Belfast when Belfast was still part of the Republic (that's a whole 'nother story) will be celebrating her 28th annual 29th birthday tomorrow. Actually, I'm more Irish that she is but she gets extra points for her Dad's brogue.

As far as Mr.Ukie goes, you "thank the good Lord you're ONLY 50% Irish" what a mistake. If you were 100% you would be beating the chicks off ya. Then again as an Irish red-headed lass I know once said, "Being single makes your pockets jingle!"

I bet it was the Irish who poisioned Ukrainian Presidential Candidate Viktor Yushchenko!!! If I get a blood transfusion from a donor who is Ukrainian does that mean I am 100% pure Ukrainian blood? I want this Irish blood out of me... I sweat too much!

I am also a fan of Maeave Binchey; good reading. Haven't read her newest, yet. Her stories make me want to re-visit the ol' sod (unlike the Pea!)

By the way, how does Wife of Blaze like the newest Binchey?

Speaking of "reading"...I HIGHLY recommend "The Tender Bar"! Brother John recommended it to me; I loved it; I recommended it to my book club; THEY loved it; several of the book club members recommended it to THEIR families--it's making the rounds...

that guy, Yushchenko, looks like Jason when he had a bad case of Poison Ivy at about 8 years old!!! Or was it too much Irish Soda Bread that he had?
