More details please..is that the Tookany Falls at Adams Ave...? I took those same falls with my buddy Danny one nite...during a thunder storm...ended up in the slammer too...lost the coin toss and had to call big Jack...cheezzz! (every word of it's true)
I remember the trip in the storm down Tookany Falls. Fortunately Danny was able to save the raft. I can still hear you yelling "Help!! Help!! I can't swim." And Dan dove in for the 3rd time and finally recovered the raft. As you say Cooker, every word of it is true.
In Fact, those are the Tookany Falls @ Adams Ave ! It's a photo of the Falls taken "after" TWO IDIOTS tried to "run the Falls" in the early70's...and the City spent big $$$'s trying to locate "The IDIOTS" ! Retired Phila Officer Jack took full credit for locating "the boys" down around the "Girard Point Bridge" !
Subsequently, Former Mayor Rizzo ordered a Total re-vamping of the Falls @ Tookany with a safety net to catch Wayward Kids...!
