I Need A Ruling!

If the game is to resume EXACTLY (quit your groaning Jason it's for emphasis) where it left off, does that mean I have to finish my stale beer left in Monday's glass and the soggy nacho chips and melted ice cream? Do I need to be in the middle of dozing (is dozing a word?) off when the game starts? Do I wear my same lucky boxers while watching? I need to know. It's sooooo confusing. Please advise.

Bud Selig and MLB blew this one... If Selig said he "wouldn't cut the game short and reward the Phillies the game" then why did he let the Rays bat in the top of the 6th in that slop? Why not stop it at the end of the 5th? Making the Phillies defend on that field was totally unfair. They should have stopped it at the end of the 5th and pick it back up on the top of the 6th.

And another thing... that FOX tracker Strike Zone is the same size for every player... Doesn't a strike zone differ on the size of the player? ESPN's K-Zone is the best strike tracker out there. ESPN, please buy the World Series!

***An Update from I-95*** After two hours of waving my Phillies Pennant, I HAVE BEEN SAVED! The D Street Swingers have stepped up. On their way back from Tampa, they have picked me up! For some reason they were driving the wrong way on the freeway. Apparently they were "swinging" and didn't realize north from south. We are on our way to the game. See you all there. I am on the shoulder of I-95 near the Broad Street exit. You will recognize me by the Phillies pennant I am waving. I will pay for parking and food... all you have to do is get the tickets. A BIG day for sports all around!

Susan and I went to the Boston area this weekend to visit with Anna at Endicott College. It was great to see her. While we were there, we went to two horseshows for their equestrian team. Anna rode in the Sunday show in Tiverton, Rhode Island (yes, a real "road trip weekend"). There were about 10 schools there (Boston College, Boston Univ., Tufts, Wheaton, etc.). They bring in rented horses for the show and each rider is randomly matched up with a horse - so no one has an advantage. It was Anna's first time ever participating in a real horse show and she did great - she won her Class. Of course, Dad had the video camera rolling. So, between the Phillies, the Eagles, and Anna, it was a fun sports weekend.

This BJ Upton (uptown) Dude has gotten on my Nerves...

He has hit 7 Homers in the Post-season, but hit only 9 in the Entire Season! and Tim (the steve carlton catcher) has said he has a confident look, as BJ tried to Stare down Cole...and ended up hitting into a Double Play and a Pop Up and a Strike Out! and every time you see BJ on camera he is spitting!

How many times a day do you Spit ?

I may lose Votes for causing Employment to fall, but I think I would Gain more Votes from the "fun factor".

Are you like me? Do you have a hard time reading the text posted by Gerald Pea??? Why does he constantly post text at a 6 pt. level? Occasionally he has a 6pt. followed by a 12pt. and then it goes to a 16pt. Sometimes this Blog really annoys me. How many of you can "Copy and Paste"???

Is it me? Is a computer a hard thing to learn? Please advise, I am trying to understand why the older generation has such a hard time with this.

ALSO - Can anyone tell me the reasons behind "Single Click vs. Double Click"???

World Series Fever & Night Games

What plans are folks making to watch the Phils? I know of a family that builds a Phillies "shrine" when they watch ANY Phils game. They also don their Phils tees and jerseys and all settle in to watch on a specially purchased HDTV. Do you do anything like that or are you "normal"? A "Tip From Tim to the next generation of BM athletes; Looking at the online stories I read about Charlie Manuel attending his Mother's funeral today. Attached was a photo of his mom holding a framed, autographed photo of Charlie in a Cleveland uniform. It was signed, "I love you Mom. Charlie Manuel." The Tip is, if you're sending your own Mother an authographed photo, you probably don't need to sign your last name. Just another friendly "Tip From Tim".

Lets Go Red Sox!!!

Not that I like the Red Sox, I just don't want to have another Phillies World Series played in a dome and on artificial turf... Remember 1993? The Sky Dome, Toronto? It sucked! Baseball should not be played on Astro Turf and in a Dome. What about the elements? Wind, rain, cold temperatures otherwise known as October Baseball! Boston Red Sox or Tampa Bay Rays. On one hand we have one of the most historic baseball teams ever, Fenway Park, “The Belly”, “Pesky’s Pole”, “Fisk Foul Pole”, “The Green Monster” and “Williamsburg”. Tampa Bay brings us, ugggh, Tropicana Field… Yeah! Catwalks, bullpens exposed on the sides and a ceiling which reminds me of an overcast day in March. When the Phillies win to get to the World Series, could you have picked a worse place to play or what? Red Sox are down 3-1 but I am rooting for a comeback. Lets Go Sox!
