This is a Long Post, but this Political Correctness stuff is getting Long in the Tooth

Said an NFL spokesman (via The Houston Chronicle):

"It was not Jerome Boger's intent to exchange a high-five with the player. It began with the referee making the proper administrative signal and resulted in the appearance of an inappropriate action.

"As Vince Young took a knee on the game's final play, Jerome Boger jogged in with his right arm in the air to signify the play was over. That is the proper administrative signal for the referee.

"As Young turned around, he saw Boger approaching the line of scrimmage with his arm raised. As Boger moved toward the line of scrimmage, he started to bring his arm down. However, before he lowered his arm, Young, moving towards the referee, raised his own arm and the two exchanged what appeared to be a quick high-five."

The NFL felt it necessary to issue the above Statement after Sunday's Game when Vince Young scored the Winning Touchdown & the REF appeared to be giving him a "high five"! The NFL does not want the public to believe that the REFS have Favorites! I could go on about the Vince Young story but I don't want to Bore you...The Statement I would make is "welcome back Vince!"

Meanwhile today, it was reported that 3 Navy Seals captured the guy that ordered the 2 Americans Hung from the Bridge in Iraq about 5 years ago and burned their bodies. Remember that? When they had people on camera Dancing on the Bridge? Well, the Navy Seals that caught the Guy responsible for that allegedly punched the Guy in the face while subduing him. The Navy Seals have now been Charged with Assault.

  • I think Vince Young, the Ref and the Navy Seals should all get High Fives!
  • I guess I am in the Minority..

The navy seals should each get a $10 million no cut contract. Guaranteed!! The ref did nothing wrong. Players do strange thing when excited. I've even had cheerleaders run up and kiss me after games. You can't get away from it.

I will always remember the sight of those people celebrating that horrific act...the navy seals are to be commended for not taking the guy to the nearest bridge and doing the same in return...as for the referees in sports...they do a thankless job in a difficult situation...they're underpaid and Vince Young is overpaid!

Are you sure they're being charged? Sounds like blogfiction. #1 they would have had to turn themselves in since I'm guessing this was a covert operation. #2 you always have the old"he resisted" excuse for a perps fat lip, one of my all time favorite excuses. #3 the last defense; PTSD.

Case closed, Medals of Honor for everybody.
