Woke up this morning to find a dead cat in my yard! Coco denies everything! Says she was in bed all night! She also denies that she killed the rat a few weeks ago and attacked me last Saturday!

• I think I'll insist she take a "Lie Detector" Test!

I mean I can't even sleep!!!

This has not been a Happy Week...

1. Sat., 10/23/10 @10:30Pm watching the Phils lose, my Coco attacks me in the yard!
2. Sun. 10/24/10 I am hurting BAD, watching the Eagles lose, with both hands inoperable...
3. Mon. 10/25/10 John drives me to the E.R. @ the VAMC in Phila.

• the people at the V.A. yell @ me for not coming in immediately after the "multiple dog bites"
• they wash my wounds
• give me a tetanus shot
• put me on an IV with antibiotic & X-ray my hands.

4. Tues. 10/26/10 I know I need to go to the Vet or the SPCA & tell them what Coco did but I can't bring myself to "turn her in"!
5. Wed. 10/27/10. I first go to the SPCA (thinking they will be cheaper than the Vet) & tell them what happened & say I want my dog GASSED! And, they tell me that because she bit me I have to Quarantine the dog for 10 days. And then get a form signed by Coco's vet that allows the Euthanasia!
6. Same day...I then go to the Vets office, speak to the Nurses. They tell me the same 10 day Quarantine thing! They also tell me that the Dr will probably suggest some "Prozac" for the 13 year old dog, who the VA people suggested had "dementia" to see if Coco would "calm down"
7. I then made things up! I said, "my 6,5 and 3 year old Grankids are due here at Thanksgiving! And there is no way their parents, or me! will allow Coco around them!
8. They just said, "call us again when the 10 day Quarantine is over"!

So...bottom line...if your 90lb. 13 year old dog with dementia attacks you & sends you to the Emergency Room you need to live with the attacker for at least 10 more days before you can rid yourself of the threat!

I was listening to my Radio today & they were talking about "Jackass3"

is anyone out there planning on paying $$ to see this Movie? The Review I heard on the "Evil, Right Wing Mean Machine Radio Program" actually said it is a Gross Movie, but it DID make the Reviewer Laugh! He then went on to say that it is a "totally Gross Movie that no-one under 17 should see". He went on to say that Jackass3 was better than Jackass 1 & Jackass2...

• Anyone yet see Jackass3 in 3D? 
• Anyone planning on taking a Date or being a Datee  to see it?

Now, the Phillies continue their Playoff run on Saturday night, but, we do need to mention the EAGLES! So...

What is more annoying?

I can not STAND Braves fans! Nobody goes to the games. Tonight facing elimination and possibly Bobby Cox's last game, they don't sell out. But what annoys me more is their stupid tomahawk chant. I find it as, or more, annoying than those annoying South African horns from the World Cup. Which annoys you more?

Will you be signing your Son Up to be a Boy Scout?

I do believe that we have one Eagle Scout in the Family. That is a Big Deal...! Perhaps the next time we are in his company we can ask him to do something..."Eagle-ish"...

• If I had the Luxury of repeating things I would have signed up both of my Sons to be Scouts

Of course, I, personally would not have volunteered to be a Scout Leader...

• ...but, it would have been nice to drive them to the local school parking lot and watch them board the Bus for their week-end camping trip...

Pro Sport Teams, their Uniforms and Identities...

....there are a few Teams in the MLB Playoffs that do not display the name of the Player on their Jersey.  Do you like that ?

I have never seen some of these players from Texas/Minnesota/San Francisco.  I have heard of some of them but I cannot identify them on sight! They should have their Names on their Jersey! I know none of these guys...I do know most of the YANKEES(who do not have their Name on their Jerseys)...But, they are the YANKEES!

• I do know...Aaron Rowan...getting paid $15Million to be a 3rd Stringer...along with that Barry Zito Guy...the Highest paid player on the No-Name Giants...

But at least Aaron Rowan got to be on the Post Season Roster while Barry is left being a "Cheerleader" with his own Hotel Suite, with "special sheets"...that have to be at least 35+thread...

OK...riddle me this...

So...Coco is trying to tell me she Wounded a RAT!

While I am on the Bowl @ 7:15 AM. Coco is crashing into the bathroom & I am saying to her "get out of here! I will feed you when I am done!"
So...I come out of the Boys Room, (All zipped up) & I see Coco is on the front porch, looking thru the window & I see this CREATURE laying by Coco's bowls in the kitchen!!!

• YIKES!!! the photo does not begin to display how HUGE this RAT was! Coco's Bowl is 10x10!

Yes, Coco wounded a RAT that was probably trying to get to her food bowl. But, I come out of the Boys Room/ Coco is now outside/ and I get chills...cause the RAT is still moving!

• I rush outside to find a weapon. I find a half filled paint can & throw it at the disabled RAT!
• the RAT is still squirming!!! (I only hit its legs)

I go out on the front porch w/ Coco and we both have a smoke, thinking our work is about done...the RAT will soon be a Dead Rat!

• Bottom Line... I had to Off the RAT with an 8 Iron
• It was not pleasant...

When I phoned Stoneman about the confrontation, he suggested I use a 7 Iron next time!

• It was not a pleasant Saturday Morning...

As A PS...the house next door has been vacant for 2 plus years. They are now Gutting the place & the RATS are scrambling...UGH! I am still getting Chills!
