Since moving to Lancaster, the Pea has oficially become the most difficult person to get on the phone. I feel like we are using cans and string. $%^&@#$%^&*()#$%^
Does anyone else have this issue when trying to call their father?
Great post Lil'Pea...and I couldn't agree more wit yez both...although I do have compassion for the man's afflictions, I too am afflicted and answer within two rings, guaranteed or phone charges are reversed...and I have the hearing aid to prove it! ...say wha?
I check my phone messages @ least 6 times a day! I am guilty of not answering (coco used to bark when the phone was ringing) but it is because I don't hear it ringing! I will henceforth put my phone on vibrate & wear Jockey shorts where I will place the !@#$%^cell pone! Problem is...I have very little sensation in that area of my Anatomy. I also will call all pertinent people and give them my phone # ! Mea culpa...mea culpa...mea maxima culpa...
with my old dog Sooty, at least you could stomp on the floor and he would respond. Kind of hard to do that in this case tho'. GPea needs a phone like the "Bat-Phone"... it lights up when it rings. TJ, can you rig that up for him?
I hooked the man up with an i-Phone that he could hear ringing. He had earphones that he could wear and heard "great ". He got rid of it for fiscal reasons; he could save $30 a month. He's tighter than Scrooge ! He doesn't want a land line, too cheap to pay $9.99/mo.
His rent is cheaper His car insurance is cheaper His utilities bills are non existent His food is cheaper His medical care is free His booze bill is a lot less He could quit smoking and save $900/mo. !
i guess it's the Pea's choice to tune out the calls when he wants to. I tried to call tonight. Had a 717 # for his cell phone, got a message that is no longer in service. Now I don't have any idea how to reach him. Between hearing issues and moving-target phone numbers... I'll wait for his call.

The man actually enjoys not being able to hear. His deafness is a coverup for his other neurosis, socially challenged.
Every time I want to talk to him I have to walk downstairs and scare him when I get there. Nothing wrong with his heart, I will say that.
