The HandyMan Can Do It (headphones suggested)

I am at the mercy of our handyman. I hadn't recorded anything in a long time. I combined the two... (click on the link)

The Handyman Can Do It

I got this guy, comes to my house
he fixes things, he helps me out
I'm not too good, with hammer and nail
when I try, I mostly fail

When we got married, my wife assumed
I knew the basics to fix up a room
there were times frustration reigned
we needed help to not go insane

CHORUS
we got to call somebody
we got to call somebody
we got to call somebody
the handyman can do it

Our kitchen floor has cracked tile
it's been that way for a while
we threw a rug so we don't see it
when friends come over they can't believe it

CHORUS

If it rains, he'll come tomorrow
don't tell the neighbor, he'll want to borrow
I ain't your friend, I ain't your friend

Leaky skylights, bad electric
I'm so helpless it's pathetic
the list goes on, what he can do
my wife is wondering if he'll help her too

CHORUS

A GIANT ripoff!

When I moved here I got a card from GIANT supermarket. I got discounts on food items & for every $100 I spent I got .10cents off a gallon of gas @ their pumps.

It has been sorta hit & miss on the gas discount. Sometimes it would say I have 10/20/30/40cents off & when I got to the pump & scanned my card it would say I got nothing!
Twice @ their Quick Stop locations I complained & they gave me the 10 cents off.

It happened again today! I had a receipt that said I have 40cents off
& I got nothing!

Here is the explanation I got when I insisted they call "Corporate"!
"The discount was already used today by Keelan McKendry."

What?!? I said. Keelan lives in North Carolina & she has nothing to do
with my grocery shopping!

Turns out...although I may have my own GIANT card, it is all tied into the address on file.
For the 3 plus years I have lived here, I'm just guessing, but there
have been about 9 people that have come & gone
And they all had GIANT cards!

It's sorta like if I were a frequent flyer & used Visa
To book a free flight & the airline told me
you have no points left because Maura,
who lives @ the same address & has a Visa card,
used your mileage points on a roundtrip
flight to San Francisco this past Tuesday!

Wh!@#$%!!!

I can take a guitar off a table & play chords...A>B>C>D>E>F>G, & some Majors & Minors too...

just chords. I can do nothing Fancy.
But just playing chords pleases me.

I can also take a book off a table or a shelf & enter another world.
The world of the author.
And that also pleases me.

Guitars & Books on a table or a shelf.
Grab one!
You can't make a wrong choice.

Read/Play
you will be pleased with yourself.

A Guy hands me a book & says, "I think you'll like this".

It's a Novel published in 1968
that I never heard of...

The back jacket shows good reviews.
But what novels show bad reviews?

It is almost 1300 pages long!
and I have not been able to put it down!

I'm gonna ask the guy that gave it to me if
I can pass it on.

Problem is I don't know people that read Novels!

Remembering Harvey Pollack

I was able to meet Harvey a few times. He would come into our office, always wearing a different T-Shirt and bust our chops. He would tell us some random NBA story. I was amazed by how mentally sharp he was at the age of 92. He could tell you any statistic you asked for. One day he left, had a car accident and we never saw him again.

I think it is a clever 1st photo

(for future moms, dads and Photographers)

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Men can be such jerks...don't be a jerk today...

Saturday, June 20, 2015

And more Father Day goodies!

The Redondos sent me a basket. Literally, a basket.
Not a fruit basket. Not a flower basket. Not a wine basket or a liquor basket.
They sent a basket! With a rim and a net. And a glass backboard.
A basket Ball was also included.

and they also sent Grandpop a Research book!

they must think I'm a basket case!

It is a Father/grandfather weekend...did you get a card from your 9 month old Grandaughter?

I did!

Brynn actually signed the card!
She is so "advanced"

Have you seen this Golf Course called Chambers Bay?

It's in the state of Washington

It's the US Open, one of the 4 Major Championships
(Masters/US Open/British Open/PGA)

It's on the Puget Sound
and is driving the Pro golfers crazy!

When I win the lottery I will take you all there on a train ride.
We would really muck up the place...

They call it The Pacific North West

I own a KIA and Rafael agrees with me!

Rafael Nadal Says His Mercedes-AMG GT is Good, But Not Kia Good!

I have now owned 2 KIA's and a Coco and I loved them all!

I also owned a Mercedes that John's neighbor sold me.

That did not work out so well...but John did get Maurisio to work on the
undercarriage...which cost me another $600!

Then I "gave" the Mercedes away to the car washer @ the Limo place I worked...
He restored cars...told me I would be envious if I saw how great the Benz looked!

A month later I get a Summoms re: my abandoned Benz left in West Philly. $495.00 Fine!

The car washer was long gone

I have no idea why he would bite me like that...nasty people out there...

I think Ronald Reagan said it best, "Trust but verify"...in other words, trust nobody.

I did trust Coco for 14 years and then she nearly bit my thumbs off!

I have no idea why she would bite me like that...

Humans cannot function without thumbs! Dogs are animals & Rafael represents KIA
in the animal world of Advertising

AMEN

Pea is for Politics! In 2014 the gpeablog, through their donors, offered Hillary $86.00 to come and make a speech in Lancaster...we never heard back from her people!

And this is the Wisdom, Insight, Knowledge, Experience we missed out on...
but we did save $86.00! Not to mention the Grandmother thing...

Do you think Hillary ever cooked a meal @ Chelsea's place?

Oh yea...a Photo of Chelsea's kitchin.

We have told the young ones that our High School class was rather large...they have no clue

There were about six other entry doors students went go through...

Let us talk Fashion re: the current generation of gentlemen...

In this photo of Keelan & Scotty @ a wedding
Keelan looks swell in a blue dress.
Once again, Keelan looks Charming.
"subtle grace"...
Now focus on the Guy...

What are Mens Wearhouse & Joe A Banks doing to mens fashions?
Scotty is a well built guy
he has a 6 pack, I have seen it!

Yet, he looks strangled in the suit. And crotch wrinkles?
What reputable Tailor would allow crotch wrinlkles!
And I won't even mention the brown shoes w/ a gray suit...
nor the pockets with an upward slant?

Joseph A & the Wearhouse need new Tailors
in my opinion
In other News Maeve said this bird is probably from the Amazon

On Blossom Hill they get Many packages delivered pretty much every day...

So it was a typical Thursday & I saw a box

Friday, no-one was home & I saw the box again

Saturday it was still drizzly & the box stayed put.
TJ & Maureen came home on Sunday
& told me I got a Corn Hole game
with a carry Bag!
Monday(was sunny) I took the Corn Hole carry bag to the
Corn Hole Senior Tournament in
a corn field in nearby Earville
 & won the whole
dam thing & 12 ears of corn!
The corn hole game was a birthday gift from the Redondos!
by the way...when is the last time
I mentioned the fact that I won
the Long Bien shuffleboard Championship?
Long Bien
not a pleasant place to be

Michael is not pleased with me...

I said I was going to stay in the Sara Suite on Friday night
and then go to the Tacony Palmyra Bridge
(I remember when it cost a dime to cross that bridge, what does it cost today?)

For the OBA 50th bike trip

I messed up and stayed on Blossom Hill

So if you are talking to Michael tell him I messed up...
and I have a Bird photo for him (Michael likes birds)
Maybe he will tell me what kind of bird it is

2) The Kentucky Derby
3) Phillies opening day
4) The Preakness
5) The Belmont

Last time this was done Sam was four, Jason was almost six months,

All I wanted to Post is a simple list of the Horses entered in the 2015 Belmont...

I could not find a list of the Horses entered in the 2015 Belmont...so I just post Secretariat kickin' ass

Do you get frequent Alerts from Adobe to update stuff?

I do. And I have come to believe it is
some kind of Scam.

Am I being paranoid?

Timmy & Maureen are headed to North Carolina this weekend. That's right, North Carolina! Home of the "rat snake"...have fun you guys...and sleep well.

This black creature turned out to be a non-venemous rat snake, one of the most common reptiles in North Carolina. They're strong constrictors that usually eat rodents and birds, and sometimes, as seen in the video, eggs.

I think they should take Krimpit with them. She would be able to sniff out any snakes

Fiona came over & took Tootsie to The White House.
Krimpit went with TJ & Maureen to Fort Bragg.

So all is good
