Regarding an earlier Post about Sub-titles on TV

Phils vs Cubs... and Subtitles
  • First batter Jimmy Rollins
  • Pops up to Third Base
  • Person typing says, Collins pops Up!
  • Hamels throws ball 2 to a Cub & they type Wall 2.....

Would you not think the people typing this stuff would have some knowledge of the Topic they are typing about?

I am telling You...these Transcribers are Idiots ! and so are the People that Hire them !

The Amazing thing is that when the Game, Show or Movie is over the Credits identify the Firm responsible for the Sub Titles! Like they did a swell Job...Ugh!

Is Your Dad a Vice Presidential Nominee???

Mine Is!!!

What is so difficult to understand? We Fans want the Phils to win & Jimmy Ro did a great job tonight!!! Phils came back from 7 Down against the Hated Mets and WON!!! By the way... Why are the Phillies the only Team in MLB without the name of the City they represent on at least one of their Uniforms?

A Message from the Staff at the Gpea Blog...

We appreciate the Favorable Response regarding the "CHILICHALLENGE"! Looks like we have a Quorum... The ChiliChallengeCommittee is looking for the Event to take place sometime in October, between the 11th (Columbus Day weekend) and the 25th (the weekend before Halloween). Pretty simple Rules:
  1. Make your Chili
  2. Have people eat your Chili
  3. Have your Chili voted on...

A Three (3) Judge Panel will taste each Entrants Chili and will decide which one they like Best!

The one they like Best will then have CHILLIBRAGGINGRIGHTS!!! CBR!

We need Feedback on WHEN it will be and WHERE it will be....

Pea is volunteering to Host...

Your Feedback is Welcome...

Sincerely,

The Staff @ Gpea Blog

We were only looking for Potato Chips and an Alternative to Comcast.

Judith Ann and Myself believe that the best tasting Potato Chips are made by WISE...and we are up to our Neck with COMCAST! (@$99.00 per Month). COMCAST went off the Air due to a Thunder Storm (for 48 hrs) while we had a Catered Affair for 18 people to watch the Philadelphia Soul win the Arena Bowl !
Thank God John BonJovie and Jaws were not able to accept our Invitation!
Anyway, we found out that WISE potato chips are not available in the Phila area and you cannot get Verizon's FIOS within the City Limits.
Apparently, the city is controlled by Comcast, Pepsi, CocaCola, the Democrat Mayor and the Democrat City Council.
(PS...be nice to your Kids, they will be choosing your Senior Care Center)

Do the Olympics Stir your Competitive Juices ?

  1. Yes
  2. No
  3. What Olympics?
  4. What are Juices?

If Michael Phelps can consume 12,000 caolories a day and look and perform as he does, I should be able to consume 3000 calories per day, walk around the block, and maintain a 38" waist!!!

But...I find it difficult to motivate myself to walk around the block!!!

We need to offer GOLD MEDALS

...or at least a Tee Shirt !!!

to those that walk around the Block & maintain a 38" Waist !

A Career Opportunity...?

If you can type fast and are a person that enjoys researching a Topic, perhaps TV closed captioning "Input Technichan" is an opportunity for you. A lot more people than you realize rely on "captioning" when they watch TV. It is amazing how inadequate the translations are. Whether it is News, Sports, Sitcoms, Documentaries, whatever, the people that type this stuff are MORONS ! Try watching closed caption News for 15 minutes and you will see what I mean! What's a deaf person to do ?

10% off Gas Tank Caps if You're Bald and Aggravated

Hey, this is Pete from Pep Boys. I saw this story and wanted to tell the aggravated bald guy, who doesn't hear very well that we have a special sale on today only for Jeep Wrangler gas tank caps. Come on over. Ask for "Pete from Pep Boys". Pete

Gas Tank Cap Aggravation on the PA Turnpike

Susan and I were driving the East/West PA T-pike yesterday, on our way to Ambler from the Mechanicsburg baby shower. I noticed I needed gas so I pulled into one of the stations on the t-pike. As I pulled up to the tank, I saw a red jeep driving in the wrong direction with, what appeared to be a very aggravated bald guy at the wheel. I got out, noticed that the credit card system was not working at the pump but I read the note that said, "credit card users please pay inside before fueling. Sorry for the inconvenience." So, I went inside and paid. When I came outside, I noticed that the same red jeep had turned around and was sitting at a precarious angle, virtually cutting off access to many of the pumps - other cars could not get around him. I was thinking this could be a possible, possible terrorists plot to disrupt the flow of t-pike drivers. I was ready for anything. I acted like I did not see the red jeep and began filling my tank. When I finished I noticed that the red jeep had pulled up to a pump and the driver was now walking around aimlessly looking down at the ground, walking dangerously in front of any and all cars coming into the pumps. It almost seemed like he couldn't hear the horns beeping at him... I saw the man bend over to pick up some pieces of shattered black plastic - it really looked like it hurt the man to bend over like that. As I got in my car, I heard the man talking to his passenger (wife?) - "...somebody ran over the gas tank cap. I am AGGRAVATED! We'll just have to drive without a cap and get a new one tomorrow at PepBoys." (I didn't know PepBoys was still in business...). Susan and I continued on our journey. I sure hope that aggravated driver had a safe journey home and his little red jeep was ok. I thought Gerry might like this little story for his blog.

The 2009 Masters Tournament & Madison, Georgia

According to my Source...we have scored tickets to the Masters, 2009! Two days (Tuesday & Wednesday) 04/07 & 04/08 in the year 2009. Tickets are a reasonable $75 per day to mingle with Tiger & Phil. The Hotel $ in Augusta is $250.00 per/per NIGHT! OUCH!!!!
Howsomever...if we decide to stay in Historic Madison (the Town that Sherman refused to Burn) we are looking at a $55.00 per night Fee. Three rooms, two people per room, bathroom included!
Ahemmm...Madison is a 1 hour and 26 minute ride from Augusta according to Map Quest...
Since we are BM's and we all like to drive I think there will be a Fight over which of us takes the Wheel! Dutch can provide the cheese, crackers and that orange juice and vodka Mix that Dad enjoyed on his trips to the Shore...

Where Is Gerald Pea???

Many of you may have noticed that the Pea has not been Blogging as much during these past few weeks. Apparently he was "Down for the Count" with a mysterious illness. The Pea spent a few days in the VA Hospital under close care from our VA doctors and VA nurses. During his three day stay, The Pea received the necessary care, medicine and love he needed. Today, he is back on his feet.

The Pea has bounced back nicely over the past few days. The other day during one of our daily eight phone calls to eachother The Pea said to me, "Little Pea, I feel the best I have in the past two months." Good to hear that Pea. SO WHY AREN'T YOU BLOGGING???

Apparently this is what he's been doing!

The guy is ripped! Reminds me of The Governator. I was in Roxborough the other day and decided to drive by his house to see how he was... WOW! I was shocked to see The Pea doing one armed pull-ups! He was hanging from his basketball rim, one handed! An hour later I drove by again and he had Coco strapped to his shoulders like Rocky Balboa did with the tree log in Rocky 4! He was doing full yard length lunges. He has even grown his hair back! The Pea is on Fire!

For all the single ladies who will be at the wedding tonight, my advice, WATCH OUT! The Pea has his Mojo back!
