CLOROX

I saw two guys at the ACME today and between them they had 6 Gallons of CLOROX ! I do the laundry here (cause I'm in the basement a-lot & the wife does the Folding) and I am hesitant to use CLOROX !
  • what is it ?
  • is it for white clothes only ?
  • is it Bleach ?

Cut & Paste Time!!!!

"The company that first Marketed Clorox was started on May 3, 1913, when five entrepreneurs, Archibald Taft, a banker; Edward Hughes, a purveyor of wood and coal; Charles Husband, a bookkeeper; Rufus Myers, a lawyer; and William Hussey, a miner, invested $100 apiece to set up the first commercial-scale liquid bleach factory in the United States, on the east side of San Francisco Bay. The firm was first called the Electro-Alkaline Company. In 1917, it developed a less concentrated version for household, rather than industrial, use, and sales took off."

  • What is CLOROX and what is it good for?

Like Newspapers, the popularity of the Blog Format is Dwindling, therefore...

In the not too distant Future, we will be switching over to the "Twitter" Format! I just need to figure out what the Hell it is!
Uh,oh...cut & paste time!...
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia "(Twitter is a social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users' updates (known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length.)"
So there! I think I got it...

This Post is for Adults Only! If you are 40 or Under, do not read this Post!

I was watching TV & they said the 35th Anniversary of Blazing Saddles would be on this weekend

  • I immediately thought 35 years ago was the 80's
  • I re calibrated, it was the 70's
  • Time sure does Fly, doesn't it?

When will the Young and Creative Minds in Hollywood do a remake of this ?

...or has it already been done?

We have been Shopping for a New Sofa, but they are So Expensive.

Meanwhile, someone paid $28 Million+ for this chair at an Auction! I would not pay a Dime more than $2 Million! What is wrong with people?

The Chester Fires &...and what is the worst thing you ever did?

So, they arrest two Arsonists & two nights later someone sets the School Buses on Fire! Don't you just Love people...Anyway, about Judith Ann and Fire...
  • She was 11, playing with matches with her sister & friend
  • Their home had Fairmount Park for a back yard and they set Fairmount Park on Fire!
  • They came running home Screaming! "the House is Burning down!"
  • It was fortunate that the wind was blowing away from their home
  • Fire Dept. came (a two Alarmer) put out the Fire and then yelled at the three Girls!

"Do Not Mess with Fire!"

Did you ever get "yelled at" by the Fire Dept or Police Dept.?

...and what is the biggest Ruckus you ever caused?

It is February and most people feel Stifled.

February, Saturday Night...do you ask yourself,

  • What is everyone else doing?
  • Why don't I/We have something to do?
  • I/We should be doing Something! It's Saturday Night!
  • People are so much busier than I am.

I ask, why did they put that "r" after the "b" in February.

Who says FebRuary?

Although my least favorite Month is April...

STRUCTURAL ENGINEER...

FOCUS...can you, your kid, or your Grandkid Focus like this ?

I recently learned it is the 50th Birthday for Barbie and it occurred to me that...

I never lived in a Home where there was a Barbie! In fact, I don't believe I have ever actually touched a Barbie Doll. My sister was about 16 when Barbie was born, too old for Dolls. And my brothers' preferred little metal soldiers over plastic Dolls. How old is your Barbie Doll ?

OK! A Comparison...

My Grandkids are FAR Cuter than these two kids (although these two kids are rather cute)
  • My Son Sam is better looking than Tiger
  • and Elin's smile pales when compared with Kellys', Plus...
  • Tiger knows nothing about the Loan Modification market
  • Although Tiger IS a better Golfer than Sam,,,meanwhile,
  • Elin needs to contact Kelly for some ADVICE on Multi-tasking
  • Kelly will break her in slowly (unless Elin has a Nanny) do you think she does?
  • However, the Big Difference is...

Sam, Kelly, Justin, Amanda & Luke need a Dog !

I am sure Kelly and Sam would agree...

The News

Can you get through your Day without it?
  • Weather
  • Sports
  • Local
  • National
  • International
  • Politics
  • Crime
  • Traffic
  • Hollywood
  • The Editorial Page,
  • Etc...

I heard in the news today that Mike Schmidt gave a funny response in a Spring Training interview...sorry, I don't believe it!

And why does the Weather Report get so much Air-Time on Radio & TV? Do we really need a "Storm Center" ? Do you know when there is a Storm outside ?

Or do you choose to just watch "Survivor" ?

Friday the 13th was #1 @ the Box Office this Weekend

Did you see IT..........?

It is sometimes So Difficult to Get Peoples Attention!

For the proposed May Trip to Ohio, I have some Ideas:
  • We leave 5/2 @ 3AM, a Saturday...
  • Arrive @ OWU @ Noon on Saturday
  • Christopher entertains us with Lunch with the Dean...and then we ride on
  • To Canton and the NFL HOF
After leaving OWU we head to Canton & need a place to bed down (a motel along the way?)
  • The NFL Hall is open until 5:30PM, so...
  • We awake on Sunday Morning & drive to the NFL Hall
  • Park our vehicle(s)
  • and tour the NFL Hall

It is now Sunday night...(a 2hour drive to Cleveland awaits)

  • We hit the Road and...
  • Find a place to sleep, Hopefully
  • We awake on Monday morning
  • And head to the Rockn'Roll Hall of Fame
  • it is also only open 'til 5:30 PM (hrs xtend after Memorial Day)

It is now Monday night...(an 8 hour drive to Phila)

  • Because we were Born to Drive
  • We should have no problem
  • Arriving in Allentown, Pa by 10:00AM
  • On Tuesday, 05/05/09

I looked into Hotels around OWU, Canton & Cleveland, although they were convenient to the Halls & the Campus, I think they were unnecessary for what we are looking to do. Unless you need a Pool, Spa and WiFi. We want to be able to say "been there, done that" & be on our way. Sorta like if, in 15 years, our Grandkids want to take us back to the Fame you can say, "seen one Rockn' Roll Hall of Fame I've seen em all"

I digress (as TJ says) If we want to do the Favorite Hotels at the venue they will cost up-wards of $200 per night/per Room. Rates go up after Memorial Day.

It will be a Gamble, going from OWU to Canton and Canton to Cleveland and betting we will find a Motel 6 that has the light on for us...

But what the Hell! Let's make believe it is 1969 and we are headed to WOODSTOCK!!!!

With all due respect to St Valentine & Wikipedia...

I still believe Valentine's Day was created by HALLMARK... and remember...per the EAGLES..."love will keep us alive" and John Lennon said, "All we need is Love!..." AND Abby Hoffman said..."make Love not War...!" and was it Osama that said ..."give Peace a Chance..."? or was that John Lennon again ?
and who sang that song..."let's Love one another right now..."?
Despite My Sarcasm...Enjoy your Valentine Day...
and LOVE to all youse.

Jason describes two special baseball moments.

Cancel the Ohio Trip...Michael Wants to Go to Chandler, AZ

Michael called me to say he'd rather go to Chandler, AZ so we could all experience the joy of a healthy heart.

OK, smarty pants...solve this one!

See if you can figure out what these words have in common.
1. Banana
2. Dresser
3. Grammar
4. Potato
5. Revive
6. Uneven
7. Assess
Answer: No, it is not that they all have at least 2 double or repeated letters....
Stay tuned, and we'll provide the answer real soon. Anyone who gets this correct gets a FREE, Signed copy of "Tongue In Cheek". Anyone remember who did that CD?

A MAY ROAD TRIP...

  1. Phila to Ohio Wesleyan Univ (OWU), where the pizza tosser goes to school, is 480 miles, ETA 8hrs:30min
  2. OWU to NFL Hall of Fame, 114 miles, ETA 2hrs
  3. NFL Hall of Fame to Rock& Roll Hall of Fame is 60.5 miles, ETA 1hr:15min
  4. Return from Cleveland to Phila, 10hrs...

I figure, if Chris can get the McKendry Brothers a Gig @ OWU we could actually make money on this Trip! TJ could do a skit, John could sell some counter tops, I could sign some autographs and Dutch could tell some War stories & sell T shirts! PLUS! Blaze has his name on a Plaque at the Rock & Roll Hall! They would welcome us with open arms!

I am thinking we could visit these great places and make it back in 4/5 days...after all, we are all so Bizzy!

Blogging 101...

  • As we know, there are certain people that Post Blog Topics. Among them, T.J., Blaze, YoYo and Pea. Others' have been invited to contribute but, thus far, have elected not to do so. I bring this up 'cause some Bloggers have said to me, "no-one is responding! Should I keep it up?" Remember when I unceremoniously ended the first WIWO Blog? I was castigated! I felt the same way, no-one cared, why do it, I'm just being foolish... Which brings me to my Point!
  • Sam asked me, "how often do you listen to talk radio"?
  • I said, "practically every day"
  • Sam asked, "how many times have you called in?"
  • I said, "never"
  • Point taken...
  • Get the Point?

also, sometimes you will blog stupid stuff.

Canton Ohio, 419 Mile Drive from my Door

  • I could do that left-handed with no radio or A/C
  • NFL Hall of Fame
  • This Spring
  • No Masters, so
  • We should do the NFL thing, as long as
  • Blaze is not making the arrangements
  • By the way, those in the Masters trip each owe me
  • $12.50 for the cancellation penalty for the Hotel Rooms
  • NFL Hall of Fame!!!
  • Waddaya say???

Edward's video stuff has psyched me UP!

...and now for GeraldPea's first baseball memory

as a young boy, Gerry was asked to umpire a baseball game with the big guys.  They tried to intimidate him, but he backed them down with an "itchy finger".

Are not non tatooed bodies Delicious...

Photo from tonights' Grammy Awards... in case you have not noticed, I am on an Anti-Tatoo Crusade !
and is that dirt in Mylie's elbow joint? The kind we had in our neck when we were young and sweaty and out all day. Did we call the dirt .....jew jew beads? Was that what we called it? meanwhile, Jason called me late to point out that the combined age of my Delicious non tatooed twosome is 35.. I asked him, "what's your point?"

2004 Trip to Baseball Hall of Fame: "Getting There"

Just found some video from a 2004 trip to the Baseball HOF - where Pete Rose "isn't".

When you have Sisters and Daughters...

You sometimes need a shot of the Bubbly!
This is why TJ and Dutch should rise to Sainthood and Michael will always be the Last one to Know...

"...he's BALD!..."

It was 40 years ago today that I came Home from Viet Nam...you guys were on the Tarmac.
  • Mother said, "shut up", about the bald thing
  • I weighed 173 lbs
  • Dad asked, "did you keep the faith?"
  • Mother took me to Frankford Avenue the next day where I bought, what she called "Frank Sinatra Shoes", black loafers with a Gold Medallion on them
  • They went well with the Cashmere Blue Blazer I had custom made while in Hong Kong!
  • Meanwhile, my big brother didn't know where Chestnut Hill was...
  • I have no photos of that time...does anyone?

To this day I remain Bald...I was 22...and aside from my attempt at "the wing" where Maryann had to bobbie-pin my hair in the Wind of Hawaii, I remain content!

I just wish I was still 173lbs...

Polar Bear Plunge - 2009

Polar Bear Plunge 2009 Myself and about 20 guy/girls are going to Sea Isle City next weekend to do the Polar Bear Plunge. Has anyone ever done something like this? I think I am going to pound a few shots of Jack and go for a swim. Will there be “Shrinkage”? Should I bring my goggles? I’m thinking I’ll be able to do some bodysurfing. Any stories?

MOVIES...

"THEY" tell me (they... being Michael and Mary, our Family Movie Critics) that "Slumdog Millionaire" is a Great Movie...they saw it at their favorite theatre in Ambler.
  • Have you seen it?
  • I think the woman pictured above (Freida Pinto) is one of the Pakistani Stars (and she missed her "spot" on the rug there)
  • Better see it before the Oscars, when the price goes up and the Lines are longer...

From the Poll, we all agree the Woman with the 14 Kids

Is Crazy...
  • Has anyone seen a photo of her
  • I read an article that her father is returning to Iraq as a contractor to make $$ to support his Grandkids
  • Why would they allow a woman w/6 kids and no Husband to get fertility treatment
  • I also read that all her pregnancies were thru artificial insemination
  • Steven Stills is the Donor!
  • Teach your children well...

A Few Super Bowl Observations...

  • The Cardinals did better than I thought they would
  • I thought John Madden was good
  • Ben Rotthisburger is one Lucky Dude
  • The infamous commercials were duds
  • Larry Fitz's butt is disproportioned from the rest of his body
  • The refs were not good, what about the 15 yds vs Holmes?
  • Where were the "fast" guys in pursuit of #92?
  • DonAvan would have kicked butt!
  • and I thank the Boss for keeping his mouth shut re: Politics

I went Shopping this past Wednesday...

Bought two T shirts @ $6.00 a piece. XXL was the size. Got them home and they are too small!
Watching the Super Bowl...I hear about people that are far Larger than me.
  • Where do these people buy their clothes?
  • Where can a person that is 6'2" and 230lbs buy a decent T shirt?
  • What would a decent T cost?
  • A decent T to me has sleeves that come to the Elbow
  • and a Length that goes to mid-butt
