Lucky Me!
I was one of the 234 people watching the NIT Tournament tonight. A game between Rhode Island &
North Carolina. During the Game the announcers mentioned that the Coach of Rhode Island had also coached St. Francis of Loretta. His name is Jim Baron. I Googled Jim Baron & found this photo.
It freaked me out!!!

Our brother Michael is "sorta" Left-handed. This kid in the photo can pitch w/ either hand!
Left-handedness and intelligence
In his book Right-Hand, Left-Hand,[29] Chris McManus of University College London argues that the proportion of left-handers is rising and left-handed people as a group have historically produced an above-average quota of high achievers. He says that left-handers' brains are structured differently in a way that widens their range of abilities, and the genes that determine left-handedness also govern development of the language centres of the brain.
- Between 7 & 10% of the World's population is Left-handed.
- Two of our last three Presidents were/are Left-handers.
- The two Left-handers were also Left Leaning.

SPRING TIME & LAWN CARE
Michael has a fairly large Lawn & he owns a Spreader. Timmy has a large patch of grass, but, it is Hilly. Eddie has just a small amount of grass (more out front than out back). No grass grows under John. Gerald has a lot of grass that he does not own, and he also does not own a Spreader. Alyce & Paul have the most grass in the Family.
- Do you own a Spreader & feed your grass?
- Is the appearance of your grass important to you?

Judith Ann came home on Monday, 3/22.
She went for Surgery on 3/11...everything seems to be normal now. Normal being: in pain, depressed, hungry but not hungry, uncomfortable, frustrated, very tired, etc. I say Normal 'cause brother Michael visited today and they were comparing Notes...
- Michael actually lifted his shirt up to show us his scars
- Judy Ann matched him by lifting her shirt & showing him wear her stitches are still in place!
- Leg swelling
- Ankle swelling
- Foot swelling
- At that point I had to go walk the Dog...
- Not even a BM could do that!
- And we can do some serious Weight Gaining
- Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers & thank you Mary for the Bean Soup, Chicken catchatoori(?) and Chili con Carney....by the way, did you make any Cherry Cheese Cake or Soda Bread ?

- and now we have Health Care for all Americans...yep...that's Wonderful...fer shur...

Looking good in 1956!
Think of all that has happened since this photo was taken. I've never seen this shot before, made me a little misty, I must say. Everyone decked out in their Easter finest. Very cool stuff. Does Timmy have any more photos we've never seen? One last question, is it me or, does Gerry's head look like it's on someone else's body??
Calling Pea... Come in Pea! Where is the pea?
It has been about 18 hours or so since the Health Care vote and I have not heard a peep out of the Pea. Where are you at Pea? What does this Health Care Bill mean for us? Is it a good plan? Now that the health care bill has passed, will we figure out what it's about? Pea, fill me in on everything!

Family & Dogs
Saturday, March 20 and Judy Ann is still hospitalized (2 set-backs), but I have company and its' name is Coco. Dogs are great company. Let's summarize the family Dog appeal:
- Alyce & Paul: Do not like dogs. Have one daughter who has accepted a dog and now she Loves them. Other than Susan, Alyce & Paul's kids are not Dog Lovers.
- John: Has had A Dog, and a couple of cats, but is a Dog Lover.
- Gerald: In the past 37 years has had 5 Dogs...Coco is the latest.
- Timothy: Has had 376 dogs since he was 12 & his kids have had another 1034. Timothy is a Dog Lover.
- Michael: Has never had a Dog and has never petted a Dog. Not a Dog Lover!
- Edward: Has had three Dogs, all of them small & friendly. Edward is a Dog Lover.

The Five (5) year old son of one of these GUYS played the Tambourine with the
McKendry Brothers @ their St Patty Day gig in Flourtown. The Audience recognized him! (not the 5 year old...his Dad) the Audience did not recognize me or Jason...:(...
- Can you guess which one they noticed?
- Can you guess what people were taking his picture?
- Can you guess why he was in Flourtown?
- Can you guess who he is?

Brother Michael loaned me this HBO Series Video
I always like to have sub-titles on when I watch a Movie. It helps me keep up with the dialogue. My complaint is that the Band of Brothers Series has two choices for "closed captioning"
- SPANISH...or
- NONE
- I know what you're thinking...since NONE is an option, that means the Film is already on "closed caption"! But that is not the way it is Buttercups. Bottom line...
- Am I nit-picking here ?

Judith Ann got through the Operation...
Dr. Bridges called me after the operation and said everything went well. He did a Quadruple bypass. I am feeling guilty as I type this cause I didn't go to the Hospital to see her after the slicing.
- I was there with her @ 5AM & stayed 'til they took her "downstairs"
- The Doc said she would not "come to" until about 7 or 8 PM
- The Doc also said she would not be able to communicate cause of the "Breathing Tube" (I just got chills typing that)
- Thank you all for your Concern & Prayers

A True, Funny, Pathetic story...
Last Saturday Judy Ann was in a local steak shop to order a small cheese steak (they look like toothpicks). While she was waiting at the counter a woman w/ a blond wig, pink raincoat, lavender tights & lavender boots walks in w/ a chubby kid about 11 years old. She was towing a RED suitcase on wheels. The Blond...
- She steps to the counter while the boy sits himself down & she says
- "I want a large cheese steak with everything on it"
- The counter guy says, "you need to tell me what *everything* you want on it Is"
- She says...
- Hot Peppers
- Sweet Peppers
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- Fried Onions
- Mushrooms
- Ketchup
- Mayonnaise
- Mustard
- ...and Relish
- And an order of CHEESE FRIES !
- That Boy Can Eat !!!

What's that sparkle in your eye?
Saturday driving to Abington MO'H says, "Is there something in my eye?" NO. "There is" NOPE "You sure?" YEP and on it went all the way to Abington.
- While there she is trying to catch a fly, a large fly, buzzing her head. She asks the women she's with, "Did you see that giant fly?" A woman we didn't know, who we found out later was there only because she was traveling with one of our old friends who just stopped for a few minutes, said, "There is no fly. Do you see white lights?"
- Doctor says "Whoa there Nellie!" "You need an operation to re-attach your retina that was cut." They just happened to have a laser handy so they zapped her eye and fixed it. I hope they fixed it. Doctor said that without the surgery she MAY have had a detached retina which can be permanently blinding.
The Internet? Bah!
This is a portion of an article that appeared in Newsweek Magazine in 1995. Basically, the author is saying the Internet is dying. Here is a short segment from the article. Do you think the internet is a just a fad?
...Then there's cyberbusiness. We're promised instant catalog shopping—just point and click for great deals. We'll order airline tickets over the network, make restaurant reservations and negotiate sales contracts. Stores will become obselete. So how come my local mall does more business in an afternoon than the entire Internet handles in a month? Even if there were a trustworthy way to send money over the Internet—which there isn't—the network is missing a most essential ingredient of capitalism: salespeople.

Can someone explain why
Miley Cyrus & Nicole Richie are on the Red Carpet at the Oscars ?
Did either one of them perform in a Movie ? And as an afterthought, how much money did Lionel make to allow his adopted Daughter to hang with Paris (friggin) Hilton ?

We saw the Surgeon on Thursday and we liked him (Dr. Charles R. Bridges) and on Friday his office called and said, "are you available next Tuesday?" So, Tuesday, 3/9/10 is when we do this By-pass thing. Dr said it is a Triple for sure, maybe a 4 bagger...Things I have said wrong since...
- "Judy Ann, the day of your operation is the Anniversary of my Mother's death"
- "should I take Coco to the Vet while you are gone cause she will be too much to handle when you get home?"
- "What will you want to eat when you get home?"
- "how are we going to pay for this?"
- "do you want me to buy you flowers while you're in the hospital?"

The Actor in the Family...
Peter McElhinney (second from left) in a scene with Martha Cavanaugh, Cathy Larson and Michael Dornisch from 'Pack of Lies.'
Sports on TV...
I’m wondering what people do if they are not into sports. The other day I was asked by my housemate if I cared if we cut out the movie channels on our cable bill. I said, “I couldn’t care less” and that I basically watch 5 channels with an additional 2 depending on the season: ESPN, ESPN 2, Comcast Sports Net, MLB Network, NFL Network, Discovery Channel for the Deadliest Catch and History for the new show Ax Men…
I know the Pea is involved with his political news so he is accounted for, but what do people watch if it’s not “Sports” related?
Just wondering…
