I can't even give Stuff away!

You call your Heirs, friends,  friends of friends that have Kids & ask if they want your stuff & they say, "No". They have their own stuff...or if there is stuff they want, they will Buy the stuff & "charge it"!

  • No more going through Gandmoms attic I guess
Grand-mom is a "has been"...nothing there, nothing to see, move along...
  • Interesting

Guess who I saw in TARGET today?

From NewsBusters.com..."According to ABC analyst Matthew Dowd, the fact that Rick Perry's wife, Anita, has been publicly touting her husband means the candidate is floundering. Making a blanket statement on Thursday's Good Morning America, Dowd declared, "...Any time you have a wife go out on the trail, you know that you- basically, the campaign's in trouble."
  • Just in case you don't recognize her without the Guys in Sunglasses...this is Michele (My Bell) on the Campaign Trail for her Hubby...

Some background on the upcoming Playoffs. This Reporter did a great job

Oswalt has righted the Phils Ship!

Few days ago The Blog said the Phils were headed South...The Blog was Wrong! With a 94/95 MPH Fastball Roy is Feelin' O'right...

  • Love it when the Braves & Red Sox struggle

Pea is For Phlyers! There has never been a Pea induced Post about the Hockey Team , but this one got me...

Evidently, this Rangers guy is a "Tattletale"> He was called a "Slur" by a Flyers guy after they were "mixing it up"> OK, The Flyer guy called the Ranger guy a "Faggot"...I can read lips. The Ranger guy then tells the Media that the Flyer guy used a Homophobic "Slur". (I have other "slurs" I would call the Ranger guy)...I now learn that the NHL Front Office is involved! Should the Flyer guy be Fined?

  • Shouldn't what is said on the Ice/Field/Court...remain there?
  • I think the Tattletale Is a Faggot! of course that is Politically Incorrect to say now-a-days.
You know what Politically Correct is Now-a-Days???
  • It is some people believing that you can pick up your dogs' turd by the clean end...(that is not an original, I read it somewhere)
But, when I played Sports I was called a lot of things. Faggot I thought was a Pile of Sticks...

A New Airport Security Procedure!

                                 This is certainly interesting.

" Got to love this, what a good idea! The Israelis are developing an airport
security device that eliminates the privacy concerns that come with
full-body scanners. It's an armored booth you step into that will not X-ray
you, but will detonate any explosive device you may have on your person.
Israel sees this as a win-win situation for everyone, with none of this crap
about racial profiling. It will also eliminate the costs of long and
expensive trials. You're in the airport terminal and you hear a muffled
                                explosion. Shortly thereafter, an announcement:

"Attention to all standby passengers, we now have a seat available on flight  670 to Philadelphia!"

                                Shalom!"
(hat tip to TJ!)

Mondays are always better when

The Eagles & Phils  Win...

Let's plan a Trip to Vegas so we can Bet on the NFL Games & the MLB Playoffs at the same time! While sitting in leather Lounge Chairs & being served High-balls!

  • I am suggesting mid October...and in the Morning we can take a ride to the Dessert/Desert

Ten Predictions for the Game...

1) Mike Vick (Virginia Tech) will be a little rusty.
2) Expect short QB drops and quick throws from Vick. The Eagles coaches don't want him getting hit and the Giants Defensive Line is very good.
3) Giants Corner Back Aaron Ross (U. of Texas), #31 will get toasted by Eagles WRs all day.
4) Giants RB's, Brandon Jacobs (Southern Ill.) and Ahmand Bradshaw (Marshall) will be successful early but the Eagles Defense will shut them down.
5) ShEli Manning (Ole Miss) will have 3 INT's
5) Giants DE, Jason Paul Pierre (South Fla) will give the Eagles problems early in the game but Todd Herrimans (Saginaw Valley State) will own him by the end of the game.
6) Vick will play much better in the second half then he will play in the first half.
7) The Giants have a great WR in Hakeem Nicks (UNC) but that's it. Their other WR Mario Manninghan (U. of Michigan) is out and they will replace him with WR Victor Cruz (U. of Mass). Cruz will be blanketed by Eagles DB's.
8) The Eagles will play a CAT Defense. Meaning, Nnamdi you cover this Cat, Asante you cover this Cat... and the rest of the defense will stop the run.
9) Former Giants WR and current Eagles WR Steve Smith (USC) will have a good day. Expect about 6 catches, 70 yards and a TD.
10) Eagles win 31 - 17.

Things are starting to go South...

Phillies losing streak at eight after Mets sweep doubleheader!

  • The way I see it? The Phils are coasting!

Flu shots are yesterdays News. If you didn't get one I will not make you Herbal Tea.

I got MY Flu shot today...have you gotten yours?

  • BUT! I am looking for John Denver type glasses. The glasses I wear are reading glasses, bought in a Drug Store.
  • I need John Denver glasses so I don't have to raise my head to see what's on TV!
Reading glasses sometimes don't get it

Elkton, Md vs Engagement photos...(wedding photos to come!)

This is my Niece Samantha. She is now Engaged to Trey. They met at Syracuse University & now live in Texas, where Trey originated from.  Samantha works 14 hours a day as the newest Atty in a Firm. Trey is a budding Psychologist. In my opinion, they are spending "Bu Ku" Buckaroos  on superfluous stuff that they are enjoying like crazy!

  • The Question is...
  1. Is it better to do the Elkton, Md Elope thing or
  2. Is it better to do the more Fun thing and enjoy the Moment?

In this Photo, the Guy on the right, Scott, (aka Scooter) said to Sam...

...your Dad looks like Charlie Manuel...Do you think he was right?

Early life of Charlie (per wikipedia)

Although he was born in West Virginia, his family was actually living in Virginia at that time, and he lived in Virginia throughout his childhood. He was born in an automobile while his mother, June, was visiting her mother.[1] His father, Charles Sr., was a Pentecostal preacher, and the family lived inWythe and Grayson Counties until they settled in Buena Vista when Charlie, the third of 11 children and the oldest son, was 12.[1]
He became a four-sport star at Parry McCluer High School in Buena Vista, playing baseball, football, basketball and track and field, captaining the baseball and basketball teams. His first love was basketball and he had received scholarship offers in that sport, but his plans and his life would dramatically change just before his high school graduation.
In April 1963, his father, who had been ill with diabetes and heart problems, committed suicide, leaving behind a suicide note asking that Charlie, who was already married with a child, take care of his mother and siblings.[1][2] He turned down his basketball scholarship offers, including one to the University of Pennsylvania,[3] to consider offers from the Pittsburgh PiratesDetroit TigersMinnesota Twins, and New York Yankees, ultimately signing with the Twins out of high school in 1963 for $30,000.

So I made a run to Lancaster today to drop off some of my stuff. Took the "short cut" Rt 30 to Rt 10 to Rt 340 West...

On Rt 340 West, (on a Sat afternoon) I spent a lot of time in Intercourse! Tourists everywhere! Watching my every move. Never realized what an attraction Intercourse is for a lot of people.

  • The next town West on Rt 340 is Bird In Hand. After spending so long in Intercourse I was pleased to finally reach Bird In Hand. Again, lots of Tourists...
Leaving Bird In Hand I drove through Smoketown, feeling more relaxed...after going through Intercourse & Bird In Hand on a Saturday afternoon what person wouldn't feel relaxed...pheeww...relaxed...
  • Half hour later I arrived at Evergreen Lane in Lancaster...YIKES!!!
PS, I think if I had not spent so much time in Intercourse I would have made it to Evergreen Lane in less than an 2 hours...

First MLB Field I saw & still remember being in Awe at how big & green the grass was...

A very Happy memory. We entered on the third base side, my Dad & older brother were excited at what I would see. My jaw just dropped...

Paul Simon will be 70 and he's still creating great music...

I loved the "Sounds of Silence" performance at the 9/11 tribute. Amazing to me how songwriters like Paul Simon can capture music and lyrics that capture such basic emotions and touch so many people. So, you know his older music, here is a video of him performing a song from his new album. I love that he's still trying new things and so creative. If you've every seen GPea perform (remember the Bent Elbo...) I think Paul Simon stole some of Gerry's hand gestures. One other thing, I had the opportunity to play (jam) once with the bass player in Paul Simon's band, Bakithi Kumalo. His wife is the sister of someone I work with. He was an incredible player and very nice. Hope this video gets your foot tapping...

On this rainy Day I think about the Yellow Rain Slicker Eddie

gave?/loaned?  me about 6-7 years ago. I loved that Slicker! Lost it in New Orleans when we went to watch Sam & Kelly run in a Marathon. Kelly was newly pregnant with Justin, that's how I remember the time frame.

  • That night we went to a New Orleans haunt. I hung my Yellow Slicker on a Black Hook & never saw it again.
On a day like today I would have gone outside...if I had my Yellow Slicker...

anybody know who Ron Paul is? and when asked during the 2000 Campaign Al Gore said, "yea, I have a bike!"...

And, is Ron Paul riding a Girls Bike?
Also, other Presidential wannabe Photos

  • I think John Kerry got another Medal for his Wind Surfing venture that day...UGH!

My Question...Today I am known as a Philadelphian or a Philly Guy. When I move to Lancaster will I be known as a...

...Lancasterian or a Lanky Guy?

  • I'm jus assin...

"P" is for POLITICS! & "P" is for PHYSICALITY!

  • Politically speaking or Physicality speaking...who would you rather have as President in 2013? The Thin Man or the Fat Man?
PS...on a"P"ersonal note...what are the Odds of a Bald Man being elected President in the next 30 years?

  • I am willing to bet My Ranch it won't happen!!!

128 Years The Phillies have been playing...Two Championships...

The 2011 Team is now 42 Games over 500 for the first time in 128 years...and they are still not hitting! Won tonight with, what? 8 Hits? Oswald got the W but did he look Dominating?

  • We Phillie Fans are a spoiled bunch!
I wish them well down the stretch!
  • PLUS!...in my opinion Wheels is the best "Color Man" in Baseball!!!
he Philadelphia Phillies are a Major League Baseball team. They are the oldest continuous, one-name, one-city franchise in all of professional American sports, dating to 1883...per Wikipedia

  • A personal note...every Christmas, since I was 37,  I have wished for an Annual Subscription to Sports Illustrated. In those 28 ensuing years I have gotten my wish twice...:>(

The Lancaster crowd is Big on the "Bulls Head Pub"

I think I was there last week @ 2PM with T.J. There were 10 stools @ the Bar & 9 were taken. We are talking 2PM on a Monday afternoon!

  • Menu said "no table service, to order something go see the Bartender"
They had about 216 Beers on the Menu...no Bulls''t...

Do you have a "Bumper Sticker"?

I find that more Democrats/Liberals have Bumper Stickers than Republicans do.

Yesterday, someone asked me my favorite color & I could not come up with a Favorite!

I guess I like them all. I do, however, dislike how the Gay Crowd has branded the Rainbow as their Symbol.

  • I enjoy Rainbows
