- did not know he had 8 Interceptions in 12 games as a Rookie
- Comments from other Old Timers but no comment from Chuck. Look forward to hearing from him.

Thoughts on the news of Tom Brookshier's death...
What a good football player and announcer. Only thing I hold against him is that he gave us Angelo Cataldi. I read the Inquire reporting his death at 78 and did not realize he still lived in the area, West Conshohocken. Other stuff...

Introducing the Apple Tablet !
Deja vu all over again.........didn't Eve already hand us the Apple?
- and didn't Moses hand us a bunch of these Tablets a long time ago?
These Things Really Annoy Me...
I need to rant for a minute or two… There are a few things I can’t stand in this world. I’ve often wondered “Am I the only one who is annoyed by this?” So, I’ve listed five of them. For some examples, The Pea and I went out and snapped some action pictures. If one of these rants describes you? Ooops! Nothing personal… Rant on yourself!
Other then this post, what annoys you?
People who talk on the cell phone while at the gym: I can’t stand this! Are you that important that you need to be available at all times during the day? Sometimes I even see people talking on their cell phone while running on the treadmill? News Flash: You’re not that important! Get off the cell phone!
People who talk on a handheld cell phone while driving: I admit, I used to do this a few years ago. I thought this was normal. Then one day I was driving and I hung up. I realized I had no memory of the past five minutes. I guarantee you this, the next time you are behind a really slow driver who seems to be out of it, pass them and look to see if they are talking on the cell phone. I’d say it’s the case about 75% of the time. Thank god PA is making it a law to ban using a hand held cell phone while driving.
People who run in place while waiting for the stop light to turn green: I can’t stand this! This one really annoys me. No, you’re not Kid Casino, stop hopping up and down. Now, if they were using the curb to stretch, that’s another thing. Stretching is good.
Facebook/Twitter updates and the entire “Whoa is me…” attitude: This is a relatively new one and the older generation may not know what I am talking about. Why does a “Facebook/Twitter” user feel the need to update everyone on everything they are doing? 99% of everyone updating their Facebook status is complaining about something. And no, I don’t care that you are doing laundry or you have a sore throat. Get over yourself and deal with it.
People who don’t move out of the way while walking on the sidewalk: This one has annoyed me for a while. Get the hell out of the way! I always make room. I don’t know if people are looking for a fight or what. Test this out. The next time you are walking on a sidewalk, see how many people move to the side.

How to Raise a Hoodlum
As a school security person I have the wonderful opportunity to watch the development of young minds. All kinds of minds. Smart minds, not so smart minds and my favorite; demented young minds.
The early stages of hoodlumism are first displayed in Junior High. Young nubile youths are exploring the limits of their tiny brains. The Hoodlum brain shuts down learning once they learn cuss words. People with exotic contrived first names seem to master many more cuss words than children with less exotic, more traditional first names. If your first name ends with an "isha", "ante" or "ny" chances are your way ahead of the class on hooliganism.
Ooops, to be continued, Quanisha-Asia is acting up im room 239!

PBS, One of my Liberal Brothers' & Music
For years now, I have been telling The Cooker to listen to some Talk Radio, he just nods his head and sorta snorts. He tells me I need to watch more PBS. I tell him, every time I tune in they are having a Fund Raiser! and tonight's PP& Mary production was no different. PBS shows the good shows when they want to raise moola, anyway...
- Tonight was different, I tuned in & they had Peter Paul & Mary in current time, singing their stuff. Some Old, some New.
- P.S. He still does not listen to Talk Radio
Let's Cut to the Chase...
The Jets will beat the Colts on Sunday & the Vikings will beat the Saints...

Combined...they make about $50 Million a year and...
they are not Happy Campers...nor is the Bozo that was paid $45 Million to Just Go Away...(that would be Conan)...The World is Upside/Down! How many of you watch these Guys? and what about the people that work for them?
I need to re-visit this Mother/Grandchild Question.
Mother died in March of 1970. From what I know she was 56 @ the time. The Question asked on the Blog was "how many Grandkids would Mother have had if she lived to be 67". That would be 1981, March.
- She would have met Sam & Jason, 1973 & 1977
- She did meet Christine.
- She would have met Patty, Susan and Michael.
- Molly would have met her before 1981
- Seana too...Kate? Meghan?
- Nicole in 1978...(4/15) Tax Day...
Flashback!
Open this link and open the #1 and let me know what your first thought was? First response? http://www.catholicity.com/baltimore-catechism/
I actually appreciate what we learned back then because now when someone has a question I sound like a genius, a rare feeling for me, when I have an answer.
The nuns get a really bad rap as far as I'm concerned. Some were cranky old ladies and some we, the 60, 70, 90 classmates I had, made them like that. I received an education that was lacking in science, good in basic math and excellent in english, writing, poetry and art. Where else would I have learned about poetry and art? Not on "D" St. The guys I lived with got their culture from SPORT magazine. Although I did have a sister, not a nun a sister, who SAYS she played the bass in the orchestra. I never saw here play it or practicing but that's another story.

The Senate Race in Mass. & the Dems are Losing it! Ed Schultz, Bob Schrum Keith Olbermann! These people are Losing it! !
Ted Kennedy has been the Senator from Mass. since he turned 30. His brother Jack was Elected Senator in 1952 & was Elected President in 1960. Teddy was too young to follow so Mass. sent in a "substitute" 'till Teddy Turned 30'. (Sorta like what happened w/Joe Biden when he was 29). Teddy turned 30, got Elected to the Senate & was there for 47 Years...
- Question?...How many people do you know that have held the same job for 47 Years ?
- I sure wish I knew the proper spelling of Massachusettes...

Me and Jack Bauer are having similar difficulties...
We both have Grandkids in the L.A. area and we want to move there. Jack lives in New York, I live in Pa.
Both States are far from LA. Jack has One Grandkid, I have Three. That means I have greater incentive to get there.
- It's the New Season of "24" a really good TV show.
- The Blog question is...who will Make the Move to California first...
Make the Call Pea!
Let's hear your prediction in Massachusettes Pea. Dem or GOP? And why?

Thanks to The Cooker I can now tune my Guitar
The Cooker took me to the Guitar Store today, we bought a Tuner, he showed me how to use it, sang some songs in our kitchen, and really made Judy Ann's day! She was smiling from Ear to Ear & told him she Loves hearing his voice...it is a Good Voice.
- Meanwhile, The Cooker & myself were having our own issues concerning our Trek to California.
- He is having second thoughts! I told him, no big deal, if he doesn't want to go that's fine. But, I'm going.
- He did not agree to lend me his New Subaru Outback (which is really nice)
- I need to go Tune my Guitar

OK...here's the Brand New Green Subaru Plan...
Cooker & the Pea leave from Philadelphia and head West on the Pa Turnpike to Carlisle, Rt 81 South...
- that will take us to Route 40 & into Nashville, where we will perform on the Street in something called "Bashkin"?
- From Nashville we head to Memphis & Tour Graceland, where Cooker has been invited to Entertain.
- From Memphis we cross thru Arkansas, which is not even pictured on the Map, but while passing thru we will visit the "Bill Clinton Library & Massage Parlor"!
- After traversing the Texas Panhandle, still on Route 40, we will arrive in Santa Fe New Mexico, a very Windy place.
- From there it is onto Flagstaff, Az. if we go North for two hours we can view the Grand Canyon, if we go South, on Route 17, to Phoenix we are following our Route...
- Should we go North or South here ?
- Once in Phoenix, we make a right hand turn on Route 10 which will take us to Indio, Ca.
- After Indio, we take a two hour drive on Route 10 to Redondo Beach, Ca...just South of L.A.
- PS, should we make a Pitcher of High-balls, along with a tray of cheese and crackers for the Ride???

When you meet people that were in the Army they always ask, "What Unit?"
- I have no clue...at one point I was in the 5th Army but, I don't know what I was in after that. I was a truck driver, a cook, worked in the Motor Pool, Guarded some stuff and generally did what they said to do...I am forgetful of what they had me do...perhaps I was Brainwashed and did Covert stuff...,
- BUT...
- I do remember that I was in Pack 316 as a Cub Scout and we met at least once a month and I had a Patch that Mother sewed on my shirt to prove it...
- Are your kids/Grandkids Scouts?

When Did YOU Know?
Inspired by Pea's "31 by 31", or whatever that inspirational slogan was, I decided it was time for me to lose a few pounds too. What made me realize that was:
- I went to get my driver's license photo taken and in order to get my whole face in the picture the camera had to be moved to the parking lot while I sat in front of the screen.
- I needed SCUBA gear to breathe while I tied my shoes.
- I haven't seen my shoes since I graduated high school.
- The dashboard light for a passenger's seatbelt flashes when I'm alone in my truck.
- When I get weighed at the doctor's they hoist me up by my ankles and take pictures with the staff around me.
- My youngest daughter saw a 20 year old Christmas video and asked "Who's that?" It was me.

How about if we have a major sporting event without Referees, Umpires, Judges or Stewards? I Love that a 65 to one shot did ...
