• Of course, Kevin being the Sleaze Bag that he is, calls me & offers to sell me the Tickets for $1500.00! Mrs Dixon (whose husband has passed) owns 12 seats, behind the Dugout, 1st Base Side, 11 Rows Up...Plus a Super Box...at least she has given Kevin Tickets!
• Dave Montgomery, meanwhile, Owns the whole Friggin' Place! and he cannot offer access to his Super Box to one of his Favorite Players from his Coaching Days? along with that "Special Players" Family and Friends?
• This Montgomery Guy is a Fraud and he Hates Poor White People!

Chris left this morning on his drive to LA. He starts his job with Wheel Pros on October 26. Many emotions for us today, great excitement for him, and a little blue for the parents. Wonderful to know he will be joining Sam, Kelly, Josh & Tracy King, and other friends in the LA area. Time to start looking for the deals on flights. At dinner the other night, Chris was very excited and said, "I hope they're ready for me out there!" Go get 'em, Chris!

Why did the Phils Fly Back to Phila? I bring this up cause I miss a Game tonite!

The Phillies flew back to Phila after the Game on Monday Night @ a cost of $90,000 (Just 4 the Flight) according to the Inquirer

• The Chartered Flight arrived in Phila after Midnight.
• That would be Tuesday

News reports say they are headed to L.A. via Charter Flight on Tuesday Night

• Why would they do that?
• ...i.e...Go out of their way to return to Phila
• Only to head to L.A. a few Hours later?

Did they do it to allow the Players to go home and do their Business? I know when I was out on the road and had Business to do I went out of my way to get Home to do my Business...But I never diverted a Charter Plane to Do It!!! I was always more or less Local when my Business called...

• Why did they not go directly to L.A.?

Pea brags about his grandkids so Me Too! Paddy took Liam fishing Saturday on the Conestoga Creek. Yes the same Conestoga that the Pioneer wagons were named after since they came from the German settlers out here in "Whew! What"s That Stinkin' Smell? Oraganic?" country. I digress, Paddy the outdoorsman, don't ask me where he learned to fish since I have never gone fishing in my life and I have no intention of sitting still all day to catch a bone infested fish that weighs about 2 lbs., I did however teach him to stucco, finish concrete, and build decks and such, which in some circles, before HGTV, they were considered manly things to teach your son. Anyway they catch a whopper. It looks like a piranah or some kinda fresh water shark and Liam has his hand in the creature's mouth without fear of death or even mercury poisoning. Probably gonna mount it and put it above the young boys bed next to his Flyers posters, yes Pea SOME folks DO follow the icy past time. If I knew how to insert a picture I would. Just use your imagination here and work with me. Large, no, no, VERY large, teeth infested creature from the deep, bigger than a small VW bus, fighting for it's life, the Snoopy rod bent like one of them East German horomone dripping pole vaulters. Fought for hours. Old Man and the Sea type of fight. Liam wins in the end! ps he had 4 goals in soccer today too. Proud Poppy Slim

WW1 ended in 1918. In 1934 a bunch of "shell shocked" Veterans found themselves living in the Mohave Desert, a 1.6million acre desert that is now National Land. Of course today we say that Veterans who have experienced war and have problems have Post Stress Syndrom (PSS). Anyway, the crazy "shell shocked" Veterans in the Mohave Desert decided to erect a Memorial to their fallen Comrades. They erected an eight foot Cross on top of a Mesa in the middle of the desert...this was done in 1934!

• Fast forward to 2001...a Park Ranger claims he is offended by the Cross, it is a Religious Symbol on Federal Ground, he claims.
• To their credit, Congress gives ONE Acre, where the Cross is located, to the VFW in return for Five acres owned by the VFW.
• Enter the ACLU! and Yesterday this case was argued before the Supreme Court! "Separation of Church & State, ya know..."
• For the past few years the Cross has been covered up by plywood...so no-one will be offended.
• Apparently, the Cross is located 16 Miles from the nearest Interstate Highway. So it's not like people are looking at it on their way to work or the Gym!

This Cross was put up by "shell shocked" Vets living in the Desert 75 years ago to commemorate their fallen buddies...Does the ACLU have anything better to do?

I was at the Game today with my friend Marvin. Great game! Sure glad I did not wear my toupee...Marvin wore his and spent the entire Game in the Concourse! The Wind was 'a Howlin' today! AND! also, the PHILS need to give out RED Rally Towels, not White ones'... GO PHILS!!!!

With the Phils Playoffs, the Eagles bye week and the Leaves falling from the Trees...you may have missed...

In his last two Soccer Games, my elder Grandson has, personally, had 5 Goals in one Game and then 6 Goals in the other Game...So, I ask Sam..."does everyone hate him now?" Sam says, "No"

• Sam tells me it is because he knows the point of the Game, and that is to Kick the Ball into the Goal!

• A Guy I know has a Daughter who is a "Single Mom". She has a three year old Daughter. Together, Mom & Daughter went to the Pumpkin Patch last Saturday. They mingled with the Crowd, had Apple Cider and petted the Family dog of the Pumpkin Patch Farmers. They picked their Pumpkins, paid for them and were about to leave. The three year old ran back to say Goodbye to the Family dog. She must have surprised the Dog in a Bad way....
• The dog Bit the Girl at the throat
• Med-Evac Helicopter transported her to CHOP (childrens hospital)
• 6 Hour Operation
• Medically induced Coma for the three year old
• Dr's say she should survive but may not be able to speak again

Moral? Do not approach dogs that don't know you...and that comes from a Dog Lover...
