For an awkward moment last night, Gerry and his friend Rod realized they wore the same suit and BOTH spiked their hair the same way when they arrived together for Gerry's birthday dinner. We all had a great time, sorry the rest of you couldn't make it. Rod and Gerry did a great version of "If You Think I'm Sexy".

I just saw George Foreman on a talk show and he looks Great! You need to read his Life Story, an exceptional person! Anyway, aside from my loss to Michael in the back yard when I was 11 and he was 10 (the Punch that ruined my Hearing), I was 3-1 as a Boxer. I boxed when I was in the Army in Colorado & kicked some serious Butt! It was an official kind of thing. Speed Bags, Heavy Bags, Head Gear, big gloves, trainers, cheering crowds, etal. The guy that was my Coach is the guy that kicked my butt in my Final Bout. Smitty, from Chicago, a Gold Glove winner, tore me up! Point of the Post...Boxing is a great learning experience for kids and a great exercise routine. I regret that I never got my sons' into it. Then again, I can still out-box them today...

Friday, June 19, there will be a Poker Tourney!

It has been reconfirmed with the Stoneman! There will be a Poker Tournament in Flourtown on Friday, June 19! You can read up on the Rules between now and then but you don't have to have the Game down Pat! No-one else will know all the Rules either. Bring as much Cash as you are willing to Leave Behind!

The Stoners' computer is on the Fritz but he called to ask me to Post that he IS Hosting the 2009 Flourtown Poker Tournament (the FPT) ? on Friday Night, June 19!

• Cheat Sheets will be made available to all participants
• Stoner will provide the Poker Chips

Getting older & Health Issues

It seems that every time I talk to Family & Friends that are my age the Topic always turns to the State of Our Health! Most everybody has a problem (with the exception of Dutch, who, since his Knees have been straightened out, appears to be Fine). Today I find out that a Second Brother has Diabetes. Where is this stuff coming from?

• My Advice..do-not shake hands with anyone. A Fist Bump is Fine
• Wash your hands 27 times per day
• Drink 12 Gallons of water per day to Flush the system
• Eat lots of Fiber (floaters are Good)
• Have a Hearing checkup for your kids
• Keep Moving! Even if it Hurts
• If you see the Doctor, make sure it is for something that is REALLY bothering you!
• As long as you are Moving U can eat what you want

Sam is officially a Californian

Los Angeles had an Earthquake last night at 8:45PM. It was a 4.7 on the Richter scale and that is not small. Sam & Kelly were at the movies when it happened and they say they felt it. Felt like they were in a roller coaster, he says. Some people at the movie dived under their seats! The kids slept thru it while the baby sitter steadied the 52" TV back at home!

• Sam, I say, the news says there will be more to come! are you worried?
• Dad, Sam says, that's like living in Phila on a rainy day and the news says..."more rain to come!"

My son, his wife and their kids are now Californians! YIKES!

This is a vehicle breakdown 35,000 miles from earth and Triple A (AAA) sent some mechanics. I Love AAA and have used them in the past. I recommend AAA! Oh, by the way, you should tip the guys when they are done! I usually give them a $5 SPOT!

• Nicole runs the 10 Mile Broad Street Run as a married woman & beats her Father's Record!
• Michael passes another Stress Test with Flying Colors!
• Judith Ann hosts a Mother's Day Lunch & a Brother asks, "who catered it?"
• Timothy collars two Sophomores smoking within 50' of the School!
• Jason tells his Dad, "I found the Girl of my Dreams!"

And the Month is not yet Half Over !!!!!!!!!!!

We were there...where was Jason??

This idea all started because Jason said the McK Bros should play at McFadden's at Citizens Bank Park.  We did our part and participated in a Battle of the Bands last night - basically, an audition.  So, the reality is that ONLY TWO BANDS did battle but, it was a knock-down, slugfest!  The boys from Night Prowler took on the McKendry Brothers.  They had wife-beater black tee shirts...we wore button downs...they had tough looking Jersey/Souff Philwee chicks...we had the wholesome Kane family... and we gave it our all for a 40 minute set.

We figure we automatically got runner up!  I don't think any of the McK Bros. hung around long enough to get any feedback.  We'll see if we ever get any work from them.

Another first for the youngest, my first root canal awaits me next week.  Now i know what tooth pain is like.  My new friend, Vicodin, is getting me through the weekend.  I'm sure there are some root canal stories in this family, come on, let's hear 'em.
