Knife, Fork, Spoon & Cell Phone

At our Thanksgiving table were three young ladies; 23, 21, 18...They all had their cell phones at the Table! And, they were getting messages! UN-FRIGIN-BELIEVABLE!

I guess he missed his Foot!

SO..........
"Lawyer Benjamin Brafman wrote in an e-mail to The Associated Press that Burress will turn himself in Monday morning in New York City and "will enter a plea of not guilty later that same day."
  • Plaxico tries to enter a Club on Friday night
  • Plaxico is refused entry cause he is "packing"
  • Management reconsiders & admits him
  • Plaxico is being escorted to the VIP section
  • What Plaxico is "packing" starts to slip
  • Plaxico grabs his shorts & shoots himself
  • In the Hamstring!

Plaxico has no Permit to be "packing" and takes off! Dumping the "package" in New Jersey!

Plaxico is now charged w/ Illegally "packing"

...and he is going to Plead Innocent...

If you have a Space on the Web you need to...

remind or inform people of your URL, or Address... ...at least that's what I think! For example, did you know that my oldest Grandson ran 3 miles in the Turkey Trot in 51 minutes? And, my Grandaughter ran 2 miles in 9:46:02? And, my youngest Son has a Tan and can Bench Press 32 pounds? And, the Trips' are teething! And, the Dorno's from Boston visited the 'burg... Thanksgiving Traditions

Does your family have any Thanksgiving "traditions"? We used to play 2-touch back on "D" St. Remember? I always won. The last few years our tradition is to change the smoke detector batteries and refill the fire extinguishers. Other than that, we're searching for one.

On Thanksgiving Day

Will you be doing Basic Carving, or Electrical Carving ?
And will you be wearing an Apron?

It's almost Thanksgiving...and Judith Ann is Breaking Bread

... ...cause she is Famous for her "Real Stuffing"! Do you do "Stove Top" or "Real Stuffing"?
  • real stuffing requires a 2 day "prep time"
  • real stuffing requires real Eggs
  • real stuffing requires 2 Loaves of Bread
  • and at least 3 Onions
  • Stove Top requires a Microwave

and a "Buy 3 Get 1 Offer!" and you may get the wrong stuffing for the wrong Bird! if you don't read the label...

Pea Gore...

My father has told me recently, "If I saw Al Gore on the street, I really think I would punch him! I HATE AL GORE!" What is it about Al Gore that you hate so much? Why do you get so angry while talking about Al Gore? the guy won the Nobel Peace Prize! Just remember this: If we never knew Al Gore, your greatest accomplishment to date would have never existed... The GeraldPea Blog. Al Gore invented the Internet!

Would any of us have done this?

The true test of a man's character is what he does when no one is watching. John Wooden said that, or maybe it was Spider-Man. Whatever, it still holds true; being noble and upstanding is easy enough when you've got people watching, but when you're alone with yourself, when you could do the wrong thing (or avoid the right thing) and get away with it, well -- that's when you find out what kind of person you are.
I think I saw Timmy hit an illegal ball once. I think it was a Juniata prototype they created to see if it would stand up to bouncing off a bus on Wyoming Ave. I don't think he EVER 'fessed up...

If you were in Charge, would you take out the Pirates that have 25 Hostages? and a Big Boat...

I read that "THE BOAT" is 3x's Larger than an Aircraft Carrier! How do they scale the Walls?
If I was a Movie Producer I would be.....
I also read that this is about the 48th one they Pirated this year.
And for this one they want $10 Million! (it is now up to $25 million) If I had it I would buy it and sell it back to the Big Boat Owners for $150 million (the cargo is worth $100 million + the cost of the Big Boat!)
...the people in Charge, however, are "deeply concerned" UGH!

If you have ever been to our Place in the Last 11 Years you know we own a Dog...

Coco can be Rambunxious (sic) but so can your Kids!

Anyway, we have been Studying the methods of Victoria Stilwell on "Animal Channel" and have come upon a system to make your visit to Monastery Ave EVEN more Pleasant! Coco is not "nasty" she is just "excitable"

  • Coco Loves company
  • She knows and anticipates when people are coming here.
  • She jumps on people and Barks at them
  • She threatens no one
  • After about 5 Min she will leave you alone
  • But, when you are leaving she will bark and jump again!

The Solution? According to Victoria, you (the Visitor) need to avoid Eye Contact when you show up (eye contact with Coco, not me) AND.............BRING TREATS! (for Coco, not us)

So, there you have it! PROBLEM SOLVED!

  • We look Forward to Seeing You this Holiday Season !

A birthday wish for John

Susan and I are sorry we can't be at the dinner tonight but we wanted to send along a quick message. Celebrities and politicians do this all the time when they can't make an event, we thought we'd try one. So have fun and enjoy that wonderful roast Alyce is making. And Happy Birthday oldest brother John! Eddie and Susan

Resurrecting an Old Post as a Reminder

The Augusta Trip...that's in Georgia We need to pay the people that supplied the Tickets and we need to pay the Person that paid for the Hotel Reservations....
YouTube - Willie Nelson - Ray Charles - Georgia on my mind (click to view) Blaze has anointed me "The Point Man" for the trip to the Masters in April. Believe it or not, the logistics are pretty well set! The tickets for the Tuesday & Wednesday @ Augusta have been secured (that would be 4/7 & 4/8/09) The reservations for Hotel rooms in Madison, Ga have been made. Blaze will look into renting a van thru Air Products in hopes of a corporate discount.
All we need to do now is "pay up" !
$150.00 for the tickets to the tournament + $80.00 for two nights in Madison, the van bill will come later. More info will follow as it becomes necessary... (oh yes, and...Save a Seal...Club a Liberal....)

SPORTS !

Is Curt Warner better than Donovan McNabb???

David Frum (former Pres. Speech Writer) quote re: Anonymouses

For clarification, see Survey Results that used to be at the right...>
"And they are also, I think, a real problem in our rules in media. I mean, it should be a rule that if somebody is anonymous they shouldn't be allowed to criticize somebody else by name, because then we can't evaluate them, who they are, their motives, whether they're telling the truth."

A Friendly Stroll Down Broad Street...

CLICK HERE TO VIEW A STROLL DOWN BROAD STREET Friday, October 31st, 2008 -- 8:00 am - Arrive at Beer Distributor... CLOSED! Opens at 10:00am. PA Sucks, CA has beer in the 24 hr. Supermarkets. 8:30 am - Arrive at Pre-Parade Party(With no beer). Luckily my friends had enough 8:45 am - Hear traffic report on KYW - It's a 2 hour delay to get on the in-bound trains. 9:30 am - Leave for Conshohocken Train Station 9:35 am - Conshohocken train station at least 10 people deep waiting for train. People walking away say to us they have been there since 7:45 am and no train had arrived yet. Somehow, a few of my friends beat us to the train station and get on the opposite train going West towards Norristown. At least they are on. We planned on doing the same thing only to be saved by a SEPTA Bus. Bus driver says, "Get on the bus and I'll take you to another bus somewhere in East Falls. The other bus will drive you into the city." 10:15 am - Arrive in East Falls 10:45 am - Board other bus 11:15 am - Arrive at City Hall. 12:00 am - Realize City Hall is way too crowded... decide to ditch the friends with small kids and we start walking down to the Subway system. We walked underground from City Hall to Broad and Walnut. We try to get out through the Subway stairs and all exits are blocked. Somehow, we start walking towards the PATCO exit. This puts us out around 13th and Locust. 12:30 pm - Keep heading South on Broad. We realize we have no beer and are getting exercise, not what we had planned on. 12:55 pm - Meet up with three friends, the guys who took the Conshohocken Train westbound at Broad and Carpenter... they are waiting there with 40's... 1:05 pm - Parade starts to pass us. Pat Burrell leads the parade while sitting on the Anheuser Busch Clydesdale Led Carriage. Pretty cool. 1:30 pm - Main parade passes, we follow as we march down to the stadium. 2:15 pm - Get leveled by a police officer who blindsides me with his baton. He was clearing a path for a Bike Cop... I understand, no hard feelings. My uncle was a Philly Cop, these guys are nuts!!! 3:00ish pm - Finally meet up with 5 other guys who were at the pre-parade party. They had the beer from this morning. 4:00 pm - Arrive at Citizens Bank Park - Enter and watch the ceremonies. 5:15 pm - Leave 10 minutes before Chase curses, jump on Subway and we beat the crowd. 6:30 pm - Arrive in Conshohocken and go shower at my friend's house 8:30 pm - Leave for a Halloween Party dressed as a Whoopee Cushion - ON SEPTA! 2:30 am – Get home and go to sleep… Very long day but it was worth it... it's been 28 YEARS...

Politics & Dogo's Boston Blog...our only Family Members that can Vote in Mass.

Update...11/05...people of Mass voted "Keep on Taxing us"
Two more days to the Election and then I will ALMOST Stop with the Politics...
  • But...an interesting question on the Ballot in Mass. is, "should we eliminate the State Income Tax"?
  • Vote YES...Vote NO... ?
  • Brings in $12.5 Billion per year, but the people supporting this are saying to the State Legislators'..."let's see what you can do without our contribution?"
  • In 2002 it got 45% of the Vote to Eliminate it!
  • What will it get this year?

Will the Hosts of Dogo's Boston Blog be voting Yes or No ?

PS...I have received numerous complaints from people that are Bored with my Political Topics...and to Quote PeeWee Herman, "I don't care what you say, I'll be Happy anyway...!"

Remember the Seinfeld episode about "A Show about Nothing"? How do we get a Show like that?

  • These three "celebrities" cash in about $60 Million in salary per year, and their shows are about Nothing!

Can you imagine Michael as the Emcee behind the Desk on opening Night? Of course, no-one would know who he is, but no-one knew who Conan was either!

It is 2008, the majority of the population is 50+ and these people spend the most $$$, yet the Networks (that are losing viewers hand over fist) target the 18 to 45 year old age Group. Historically, they have done this to nurture viewers for the Future and cause they are believed to spend the most $$$...but their Future should be now! They are in Deep doo-doo...and people over 50 spend $$$ too!

  • Our Show about Nothing would feature Guest Stars, of course, cause they have so much knowledge to share. BURP!
  • It would Feature Timothy in the Roll of Ed McMahon...
  • Paul would be a frequent Guest, ala that Scientist Guy that was often seen with Johnny Carson talking about the Stars and the Planets.
  • Then...we could have Mr Lucky with his "words and more words...of wisdom"
  • We could have the Wednesday Advice Night, Featuring Alyce...
  • And, of course, Blaze would be the Band Leader that laughs at all of Michael's jokes!
  • The possibilities are Endless! Dave, Christine, Scott, Susan, Patty, Kevin, Mary, Mike, Michael, Margo, Nicole, Sam, Kelly, Jason, ???, Kate & Happ, Karen & Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Sarah, the new Homeowner in a Down Real Estate Market, Molly, Joe, Seana & the Zee Man... Kate, Andy & the Cello, Meghan & Double A, Aaron; Maura, Padriac, Keelan; The Horse Whisperer, Anna and the Multi-talented Christopher! Not to mention Brett and Bill and Susan the Horse Rider Trainer!

Anyone know any Hollywood Producers?
